I bought a Delta model 36-924 50'' fence a few years ago for my Craftsman 113.298... contractors saw. It mounted on easy enough but I was getting some binding when ripping. Recently I purchased a TS Aligner Jr and when I checked the squareness (90 deg) to the blade and the fence, the blade I was able to get perfectly square to the miter slot within .001 run out.
Checking the fence showed me that approximately where the center of the blade is the fence bowed away from the blade almost +0.100 and then near the end of the fence it comes back in to almost +0.001 from the front zero. When I loosen the 2 lock wing nuts the bow becomes almost non-existent. Does this mean the head is bad or the rail? Can I shim somewhere to eliminate this ? I attached a 1 1/4''x3'' wood face that I squared on a jointer and it does the same when I tighten the two wing locks. Help..
