The hotpoint washing machine has aquired a nasty smell and after washing clothes they don't come out smelling nice and fresh like they used to.

Not the machine, stop using liquid soap. put machine through a cleaning cycle using a product like affresh.

there is a product called washing machine cleaner that can resolve this issue. Use it monthly.

what you can do is to put the mach on its boil wash and add a capful of bleach no powder.this should work ok. good luck.

you can run a regular cycle with bleach as instructed in the manual. there may be mold on the rubber where the door closes. wash this with water and bleach. to avoid this problem in the future you can loosen the light bulb then you can leave the door open a little all the time with no light. press the off button when not in use.

you have too much body fat built up in the hoses and main barrel what you need to do is run it with pure hot water and put a dish washer cleaner fluid in the wash this will destroy all residue that has built up in your washer that is rotting as it sits.

You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use very hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Put the Affresh pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.

if i were you i would buy some detergent that cleans washers in the normal wash cycle without no clothes in it then you will find that the smell as gone,do this regular once a month to keep all the pipes fresh.rgrds,paul

The following are the methods you can avoid odor in clothes after washing.

• Check that the drain line is clear
• Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages
• Check pump for blockages
• Check for build up of soap in the outer tub
