My 2 stroke mantis tiller will not prime.no fuel in prime bulb. I guess no suction. Fuel lines are clear.Which parts need to be replaced?

I had the same problem, get a rebuild kit. It sounds like the diaphram is shot. Also make sure the prime bulb doesn't have any holes or cracks, the engine won't run if it does

Also try checking to ake sure that the engine is at the right angle to get fuel in the bulb. try seeing if the bulb is getting a vacuum seal. I had to put oil on the seal and retighten the bulb screws to get any suction. make sure the fuel lines are inserted far enough into the gas can, check to see if there is any airflow (try when gas tank is EMPTY)

****, I'm supposed to be getting an idea of the problem here. I figured, I'd comment, because I'm stumped on a repair and I wanted a clue to lead my mind. Carbs been dipped, primer evacuates air into the tank, yet doesn't return fuel. Nothing at all. New primer bulb. It's got the third line to make up for the cap no longer being the pressure release. There's something I'm missing and for the life of me, I can't put my finger on it, by all rights, the fuel should flow, carb adjustment is another matter of course, but I'm not ther yet. Very annoying.

Anyway, a 2 cycle can function with a busted primer bulb, see it all the time. Not the way to go, but it can work. The engine is your primary source of intake. As long as it can **** fuel, it can run, busted bulb or no. Part replacement ends up being very simple. Replace the carb or rebuild the carb with new gaskets. Be sure to check for any breaks or obstructions in the lines. Also, much like a backed up muffler/cat will force exhaust back through the carb or through any weak points, you should make sure, the system is clean to flow before you decide what parts are needed.

Just some thoughts, will I realize my own failure. :)

I would check the fuel filter first,then clean the carb if the filter is clean
