Freezer makes a loud humming sound. We removed interior rear panel of freezer and found ice build up around fan. Appears to collect on tray that houses fan and then eventually impeads fan. Removed ice and it worked fine for about 3 weeks, but then the same problem occurred again. Any ideas?

I am looking up your refrigerator to see the right parts. Sounds like the defrost cycle is not happening. look for a defrost or adaptive defrost board. Check your model number again because I am not able to find the number listed. I will continue to check for the correct refrigerator and if you find a simple defost timer turn it clockwise slowly until you feel and hear a click. If you do and you may hear the elements heat up inside the freezer. If that happens just put a new defrost timer and you should be set. Sea Breeze
Hey Joanne, I appreciate your inquiry!
Based off my understanding the freezer side of your Frigidaire refrigerator is making a loud humming noise. The humming sound could be coming from your compressor. If the sound is a new development it may be a possible issue with the fan pushing further against the wall. You may need to seek help from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you from purchasing any unnecessary parts. Hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt
