Water leeking on floor

Kenmore 62232200 3 1/2 years old. There is no water or ice maker, I had them disconnect it when installing. There is frozen water at bottom of freezer. When you open freezer door water leeks on floor, I can see water coming out of back of freezer vents or something.

Same problem...don't know how to fix...looks like water is leaking down back into freezer & freezing at the bottom.

I have a bottom freezer Kenmore fridge; it is leaking water in the rear right side of the unit. There is no icemaker and no drip tray in the underside of the product. The water leak is not constant and the fridge is making very loud knocking/banging noises.

This product is only three years old; it was purchased in 2005. I am wondering is there are any recalls for this leaking issue, there are many listed on the Internet. My previous fridge was almost twenty years old when we bought this one and let Sears take the old one away.

We have side by side Kenmore and on freezer side we are getting prozen water under the slide out drawers on the bottom on interior. We have cleaned it out and it refreezes and when we turned off water to...

Your drain line is frozen and not allowing the defrost water to drain to the pan below. The drain hole is at the bottom of the evaporator coil in the freezer behind the metal rear panel. You may need to remove the panel to access it. You can use hot water to thaw it out and you should be in good shape.

Ice maker not making ice

To check ice makers in general you have to first check there is water which is simply filling a glass from the freezer door dispenser. Next you need to check there is not a frozen fill tube where the water is run through the cabinet into the ice maker.(you should be able to blow through it from the back when you disconnect the line) If it has frozen solid with water, this has to be cleaned of the ice(melted with a hair dryer) Frozen fill tube problem usually caused by water valve not completely shutting off-a drip) May work ok with old valve for a while without replacing also.

The next is to test water valve and ice maker by jumping the thermostat inside the icemaker assembly, there are pins under the cover of the ice maker. If you are this far also check for 120 volts at ice maker. This is general, if you have a ice bin in the door, you have a emitter receiver board which needs to be jumped out. It can get complicated, but you are trying to break down the system components to isolate the problem.

Also remember ice makers generally have a thermostat in them to prevent operation if not down in the zero to fifteen degree range. You can get one of those outdoor liquid filled mercury or alcohol stemmed thermometers to test your freezer temperature before you tear apart your fridge..........

Stopped making Ice cubes on S/S kenmore refrig. water nnot flowing in tube that runs up the back

This problem is the dual water control valve coil for that side. If you fill the ice maker with tap water and it cycles then the problem is most likely the dual water control valve on the rear and near the floor. Also make sure that the fill tube inside back of ice maker is not frozen over. Let me know the model number and I can tell you the part number for the replacement, Kenmore model numbers look like this for example 213.256489 Thanks, Sea Breeze

Kenmore Ice Maker Not Making Ice

the water that is frozen in the fill tube could have come from the old water valve that you replaced ,you got to get the ice out, the easiest way ,though not the fastest ,is to unplug fridge for 24 hrs . and leave the doors open to let it defrost, the plug back up and hopefully in 5 or 6 hrs you'll have ice

Ice maker flooded top freezer compartment

It may be just the water control valve on back of refrigerator. Put tap water in ice maker and lower lever for on. After ice is made, does it drop to tray? At this time when empty is the time the control valve is asked for water. The problem could be in valve on back or the inside ice maker itself. If you can try a few test with me I will help you locate the problem. Let me know what you find as I go through this with you. Sea Breeze

Ice maker will not make ice

Water fill tube above I/M is probably frozen up. Remove I/M and see. If so, use spray bottle to melt out ice. Unplug and replug in ref when done to reset ice level sensor or it still won't work. If no ice blockage then I/M is bad and needs replacing.
