Lg tv guide

When I connect to satelite, the picture is only in B&W - I can't figure out what settings to change! When I used HDMI it's fine, I've tried 3 sets of cables, both AV inputs and it's always the same, grainy black and white. I've hooked up the satelite to another tv and don't have problems - surely there's a setting I can change? what is it?!

SOURCE: PS3 not working on reg tv's after HDMI use on LCD HD tv

Shelley,  the fix for this is simple! Hold down the power button for about 5 seconds and the system will beep. This resets the video setting for your ps3 from HD too whatever the current cables are that you are using too hook up too the tv. This works on my PS3 which I just bought about 3 months ago and should work with the older ones.

I've tried numerous possibilities with each input but they never show a clear picture.

If the components you are connecting to the tv set are working but the picture quality is the problem, then it sounds to me like you are connecting them to the correct inputs, just your connections or cables don't have a good connection. My visio never gave me a perfectly clear picture (like you see at the store) from my satelite or any other input, until I used an HDMI cable for the connection.

I have a LG 26LD350 tv and i bought an hdmi cord for it, to connect my laptop to it..and it has picture but no sound, what's the problem?

The HDMI sound setup can be set to send the digital audio through the HDMI cable or to send the analog audio through the analog audio line out and receive through the analog audio line input (Green mini stereo phone jack on the PC and on the TV)
So you have to look at the TV HDMI sound setup to see how the audio signal will be handled, same thing for your PC HDMI sound set up.

How to set up LG RH 387H HDD/DVD recorder for recording fron T.V

First, please note that your LG 387H is capable only of tuning analog channels, not the digital ones...

The easiest way is to connect your recorder directly to your incoming cable, then connect the output of your recorder to the TV set. Depending on what your set has available, either connect the HDMI OUT to HDMI IN on your set (best picture), or the A/V OUT to your sets A/V IN. Leave your set on the input you have selected, and use your recorder to change channels.

Can not get the listings for the TV Guide to load. The TV is connected to cable box and tuner with HDMI cables. When I contacted LG they stated that I need to split the cable signal prior to connecting...

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
The cable box signal is received from a round cable called coaxial cable. The guide is sent to the cable box through the coax cable. The HDMI cables sends the picture to the TV.
The Tv does not download TV guide listings , just the box does. That would be a cable company/box issue not a TV issue.
Some TVs have a built in TV guide for when you recieve signals from an antenna (not cable).
If thats what you are referring to don't bother .
Use the cable box guide .

New Sharp Aquos LCD 46 TV

If you hooked up the satelite box to your tv Automaticly the Satelite box is the one who pick up the channels (from the satelite)
In this case your tv is acting as a monitor only. Try to connect your tv with HDMI cable or COMPONENT cable for best picture. Don't use RF antenna input to hook up your Satelite Box. Hope this Helps
