Zanussi zwf1430s error codes - E40 / E41 & ELE

Had error code E40 - found out that this is either the door interlock or main pcb (EEK!)
Did a little more research and managed to get another code displayed of E41. Achieved this by holding down the start/pause button & skip buttons together, then switched machine on. Leds then flashed around the display board. Can't remember what I did next, but got a code of ELE in the display?
Any ideas what this means?

    Earlier I went to put the washing on and the error code E40 appeared, I pressed start and kept making this 'clicking' noise and then would stop and the code appear. Came on internet and typed in 'Zanussi washing machine E40'. On different help sites it said E40 could be the door so I went down again, turned it on, slammed the door and pressed start and it started working. Hope that's all it is.

Hi

ele means the pcb is in factory settings . all you need to do is turn back off the on again then will be back to normal use. but e41 usally means the door lock has failed. does it click alot when you start it up and not do anything? if so this will be the lock

Hi i have a Zanussi zwf1430s and the power button has turned to a faint orange instead of the normanl green light, Also the door has locked itself with a load in !!!! any ideas ?

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

Check water "forreign object trap". It's under the lid at the bottom of the machine. First drain water by pulling out the hose and pull out the plug. Then unscrew the trap. Have had this E20 error twice. First it was two coins there, next it was a big paperclip. Have worked fine ever since.11_20_2011_8_57_27_am.jpg

Obviously appeared family error code E40 (visible to the customer) what means a problem with door interlock. Could be: door open (mechanical failure), door interlock malfunction, the problem with main PCB (triac) or wiring. In service mode you can see exactly error code: E41,E42,E43,E44 or E45.
