SOURCE: Blue light and lamp light flashing, no picture.

Look in the owners manual for the directions on how to remove the lamp. Your model the lamp goes in from the front on the left looking at the TV. There is a thumb screw in the back on the corner holding the left front speaker on. Under the panel there is another thumb screw holding the lamp door on. You will need a Phillips screw driver to remove the lamp. You will most likely find that the lamp is bad. You will either have to order a lamp directly from JVC, a service center or a parts distributor.

SOURCE: JVC TV TROUBLE

If you guys do not have hand soldering skills or know how to use a multimeter, I would suggest to replace the whole assembly.
If you know how to solder you can just replace 2 ICs that are mounted on the big black heatsinks and possibly 1 or more resistors.
Click here to find the entire assembly for your TV.
The link provided is for parts for the AV-56WP74 model ONLY. For the 65 inches; you should contact the vendor and provide the correct model number.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: JVC I'Art. 65" projection TV. AV-65WP74 green screen sages real low.

I had the same problem that required a $400 technician fix. 1st time i tracked it to a $0.05 resistor blown. could not find in radio shack... was due to bad "brain".

Where do I put the activation code on computer? trying to connect my apple TV

Hi Penny
Not exactly sure of your requirement.
An Activation Code usually refers to enabling a paid for service.
Like a game or streaming service like spotify etc

AppleTV is plugged into your TV via an HDMI Cable.
It then accesses your local in home WiFi....
To connect to the internet and your Apple Account.
You will need your WiFi Modem password initially to connect into your home network.
Then set up the AppleTV to connect to your Apple Account with your Apple ID (Username & Password)
Use the free Apple "Remote" App on your iPhone to make it easier to enter text.
Also, this might be good for entering activation codes for joining any App services shown on Apple TV main menu.

Cheers

Trying to activate bps.org and apple TV

Hi James

Not enough details
Plug the AppleTV HDMI cable in and connect it to your TV Screen.
Use the TV Screen remote control to select the screen "input" from the HDMI port you plugged in to.
Turn AppleTV on (plug in)
http://www.apple.com/appletv
The details should show on your tv screen if the correct hdmi input is chosen.
Use the tiny aluminum IR (IfraRed) control to enter details & control your AppleTV.
If you have an iPhone / iPad you can get the "Remote" App for free that is easier to use to set up the ATV.
AppleTV will want to connect to your home WiFi (Modem) Box that you get your internet from. You will need to know the WiFi Password to allow connection to home WiFi. This keeps the neighbours from connecting to your wireless internet.
You then Select the Language and enter your AppleID (e.g. email address & password) same as you use for your App Store for iPhone / iPad etc
Once connected to the internet the ATV will show all the streaming services that are available. Also if you have iTunes on your Mac Computer you can set up sharing and display selected photos as a slide presentation when the ATV is in standby.

Hook up ps3 and appletv to my tv - i have a Sony receiver w/HDMI slots that i am using for the PS3 - i have hooked up the Appletv to the HDMI input 2 on the back of the TV. The PS3 will not show video - i...

There are generally three HDMI slots at the back panel of an HD TV. Make sure you have connected the PS3 and the Apple TV in two separate slots. Sound will work because you must have hooked it up in Audio IN at the back or if you have connected the red and white audio cables in the front panel , the audio will work only on the camera setting on your TV

Apple tv

The component 1 and component 2 inputs only go to 480i and 480p. The Apple TV must be plugged into the DTV input which will accept a 1080i signal.
