hi, do you mean after you turn on then immediately turn off. tried to remove the supply going to the inverter board for screen back light just to ensure if the inverter board will be the cause.
The lens barrels are jamming someplace. wen the camera moves the lens out immediately pop out the battery so that it stays and then turn the zoom from the outer most barrel in the direction it comes out side. Do not force it too much. If that works fine other wise take it to the service center

So, your ps3 is cracking the bga solder under the ps3 CELL and RSX processors..to fix you will need to reflow these components with care..search for PS3 reflow tecniques on youtube...and others tutorials on internet it´s easy to find...google it...Good Luck

are you using rechargeable batterys or cheap ones
you have to get batteries specifcly designed for digital cameras or they wont power the camera properly.. try using different batteries !!
