There are a number of different remotes that Directv use, and instructions may differ from your particular model. If you look at the upper left hand corner on the face of the remote there will be a model # RC-64, RC-23, RC-24, RC-32RF, etc. Click on the link HERE and on the webpage, scroll down and you will find the instructions to program your specific model DirecTV remote for your Emerson TV. I know the new HD boxes and DVR HD Boxes have the new remotes and they included Olevia on it and it works with the new models of Olevia's

The only model of remote that i heard that it has pre-program Olevia code in it.. is the RC-64 or RC-64RB usually these remotes are coming with the new HD boxes..

Slide top button on remote to tv. Press and hold mute and select button until the green light on the remote blinks twice. Then press 991. Then press 1. Then press the tv power button once. If the tv doesn't respond hit the channel up button on the remote. If that works press select to store the code and slide the switch back to the left. If it doesn't work keep hitting channel up until it does. It can take up to 30 minutes but it works.

I just got a new directv receiver...dvr....the codes for polaroid were not listed on the unit but were included in the booklet that came with it. They are as follows....10765,10865,11262,11276,11314,11316,
11326,11327,11328,11341,11498,11523,11991,11992
These were all listed for Polaroid. Hope this helps.
