It seems that your mobile memory card corrupted or damaged then it cannot be read by your computer. You can try 4Card Recoevry to restore your data if you want to. It can recover pictures, films, e-mails and other files.
First, download 4Card Recovery on the internet and install it on your computer.
Next, run it and select all to recover so that you will not miss anything.
Then, click the ' next' button to scan it, and you are supposed to wait for about ten minutes here. So to be relax, and do not get into panic if you find it is keeping scanning.
Finally, store your recovered files on other part.
You can downlaod it for free. Have a try.

SOURCE: Computer is not reading my Micro SD, but phone is reading..

What size is the SD card in GBs? If it is larger than 2GB (4 or 8) do you have a SDHC card reader?
Also try formating the card first in the phone and then using it. Using it straight out of the package, while able to be written, my have difficultly with other devices reading the data.

SOURCE: I recently purchased a PNY 4 gigabyte micro sd

Take the card back to the retail store, and get a replacement for this "defective" card.

Or, get a technician at the retail store demonstrate that he/she can read the card.

How do I access the media storage files on micro SD card

I use a SD/MicroSD to USB 2.0 adapter made by SoCal Trade, which came with my 64GB card when I bought it (e.g. amazon.com/dp/B00JAO8MMU/ ), but there are many others.

NB Put the MicroSDHC card in the adapter and THEN plug it into a USB port... i.e. do not plug the SD/SDHC or MicroSDHC/SDXC card into the adapter while the adapter is under power by the USB port. Hot plugging can damage SD/Micro/SDHC/SDXC cards, in my experience.

Another way is to attach the device to a computer with a USB adapter cord (be sure the device is 'unlocked' or the card may not be accessible).

How to unlock micro sd

Micro Secure Digital memory cards, or Micro SD cards, provide storage for a variety of different kinds of devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and cameras. They can be protected by passwords so that the information that you have saved on it is secure. Sometimes, the password can be forgotten or lost. Recovering your password is easily done with your computer and SD card reader on your computer.

Place the micro SD card into your card reader on your computer. Right-click your "Start" button and then "Explore". Find the micro SD card, it will be listed as a removable drive. Click on the micro SD card and the files will show on the right-hand side. Find the file that says " MMCSTORE" and then select "Copy." Right-click on your desktop and then click "Paste." This will move the MMCSTORE file to the desktop so that you can get access to edit it. Right-click on the MMCSTORE and then click on "Open With." Open the file with Notepad. Read the text to find the password. It will be in plain text. Remove the SD card from the computer and place it into the device for which it is used as storage. Turn on the device. When it prompts you for the password, enter it. Hope this helps.

After i insert my 1 gb sandisk micro sd card into my blackberry 8530, an error message comes up: "cannot access media card due to fatal errors" i have tried to install, repair, and format it...

It sounds like in your situation that you may have a bad card. If you cannot get your card to mount to your phone for storage, I would try to find access to a pc that has an SD card slot that you can try to format it that way. If the card still wont format, your looking at a defective card and will need to purchase a new one.

You can find Micro SD cards here for purchase.

Welcome to FixYa!

To have more storage capacity for your phone, delete unimportant SMS in your INBOX, OUTBOX and SENT ITEMS. Delete also unimportant pictures, videos, music and ringtones. The phone memory is relatively small and is shared to all data and other files that are stored in the phone. By deleting some of these will free you some memory.

Alternatively, you can also put in a Micro SD memory card(Memory Card model depends to what your cell phone is compatible of, Micro SD is a sample) to your phone which will also increase its storage capacity. A Micro SD Card look something like the picture below.

Blackberry Bold 9700: "Media card

Hi there,

You need to get a reader/writer like this one;
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...
I use this one because it support all the latest formats. Older readers might not read the SDHC (High Capacity) format and you don't nead that. Pop the reader into a USB port and the card will show in File Explorer just like a hard drive. Right click it and select Format. Go with FAT32 format for most storage cards.
Post back if it is not working we will be happy to help you.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!!!

My scandisk memory card (8GB) has had problems with my blackberry torch. Its saying "media card storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors".

try
SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Memory Card with a card reader and check whether there is problems, and also try the card with other mobiles and find whether there are problems, if there is a problem we can understand that the card is destroyed , you can replace the card with other one now.

I've only had this 16GB micro sd card for about 7 months and suddenly the data stopped showing up in my phone. A message keeps apearing that reads, "Media Card can not be accessed due to fatal error". I've...

You can try contacting the manufacturer if you by happen to have the receipt and get your money back...I save all that stuff now in a folder cause quality just doesn't exist on anything anymore like it did 30 years ago. Take it back where you got it...even if you don't have a receipt, if you make enough ruckus, maybe you can get it exchanged. It's messed up about the data though...hopefully you had a second copy on your computer (backup?)

Media Card Cannot be Accessed due to Fatal Errors

Sorry to hear your problem.
I have a Blackberry Curve that did the same thing to me. I had a 8gb micro SD in there for a few month and suddenly all my data was gone . I also could not reformat disk either. Never fixed the problem ans was forced to buy a new card.

Some questions to ask are:
How old is the second disk?

think of your daily patterns are you going around some area or working around something that could damage your card?

again, sorry for your misfortune. I thought my feedback would let you know you are not alone this happens to these memory cards and it it hard to pinpoint to problem.

try one more card and monitor your daily routine, x-rays, airport scanner, high magnetic areas all can do damage. Otherwise it may be the phone.
