You have a froen drain thats why it is allways getting ice on the floor. you need to remove as much as you can then remove the back of the freezer so you can clear the drain pan and clear the drain. its not hard to do just you will have a lot of water on the bottom and your floor maybe. once you remove the ice from the pan have some very hot water and pour it in the pan utill the drain is free and the water go's down into the drip pan. shut the unit off untill tour done and be carefull around the coils. once its clear put the back on and plug the fridge back in. you will now have no more ice build up. make sure there is no food back there that can block the drain either. its a god time to clean the freezer out

We used a hair dryer to melt the ice blockage in drain tube. checked tube to make sure no obstructions, but icing problem continued to happen every few weeks.

My admiral model hmg-64184 is leaking water from the bottom of freezer

It sounds like you have a broken place in the door gasket that is allowing warm air to enter the freezer.

A few days ago I noticed that the bottom of my freezer side of the fridge was covered in about 1/2 inch of ice. It goes all the way from the back of the freezer up to where the door seals...and the door...

its not doing a defrost by itself you need to replace the defrost heater/defrost termination sensor/thermostat/defrost timer could be any one of these parts causing this problem you need to test each part with a multi-meter to determine what needs replacing.

Admiral side by side, the ice maker does not seem to making ice

Pull down slightly on the bottom bin lip , and pull the bin foreward . The bin has to lock in place , or it would slide foreward , each time the ice dispensor is used , causing the freezer door to be pushed open from the force .

Ice repeatedly forms at the bottom of the freezer compartment. Eventually it reaches the door and water leaks out. Signature Series Frostfree Model HMG51108

Your defrost drain line is frozen up.
Turn off fridge, remove bottom freezer drawers.
Remove visible ice.
Take a hair dryer and melt ice at the back of the freezer at the drain pan.
Pour a water and bleach mixture through drain hole.
This procedure could take a hour or more.

Ice maker on Admiral HMG 62165 side by side

check the lever in the ice bin. if it is stuck in the up position it thinks the ice bin is full and will not make ice. Just wiggle it to the down position.

Freezer icing every 3 weeks

you have aclogged drain. remove the panel in the back of the freezer that exposes the evaporator you will want to shut the unit off too. next remove as much ice from the pan as possoble. use a hair dryer to help get the big stuff loose. now you will want very hot water and pour it in the drain pan. your going to make a mess at frist but you need to do it untill the ice in the drain is melted and the water will flow into the drip pan. make sure you cloan all the food drbris also. after it is clear put the back on and turn the unit back on. you will not get any more ice buildup as long as it stays unclogged. and the ice is from the defrosting of the evaporator.
