Want to know how much water my model 44092 washer should use.

The water company recently raised my water pressure to 62 psi. My overall water usage doubled. I'm trying to find out where the water is being consumed the most. My washer seems to have used 40 gallons of water for one normal load. Is this normal? or is it high for some reason?

If you have ever experienced the problem where you washer continually fills but never reaches the proper level (not an overflow). Or, the wash tub water level cannot be maintained, because the water level keeps dropping. You may be experiencing what is known as "siphoning". This occurs when there is no air gap for the drain line at the standpipe. The standpipe is the drain pipe at the wall where the washer drain line is placed. With no air gap, a vacuum is created, and water will begin to drain from the wash tub prematurely. To prevent this from occurring, follow this advice:

* The standpipe should be 2 inches in diameter to allow a sufficient air gap between the top of the standpipe and the drain hose.
* The standpipe should be a minimum of 34" from the floor, and should not exceed 72 inches in height.
* DO NOT seal the top of the standpipe. Many consumers seal the standpipe in the belief that this will prevent overflows, or get rid of drain odors. This often creates more problems than solutions.
* DO NOT place the drain hose too far down into the pipe. Water stays in the drain trap area of the standpipe. If the end of the drain hose rests in this area, no air gap is created, and this can also cause siphoning. 4 to 6 inches is sufficient.
* The drain hose length must not exceed 10 feet in length. Excessive drain hose length can cause drain problems and back wash.

Theres a code "LF" beeping....

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
When your washer displays error LF , it is due to low water pressure, slow or continuous fill.All washers are designed to operate with a water supply pressure of 20-100 PSI. When the pressure drops below 20 PSI the washer can have the following problems;
  • Slow Fill- low water pressure reduces the speed at which water flows into the machine.
    • Verify the pressure at all other water sources in the house (i.e. sinks, showers, etc..). If you find other places where the pressure is low, the problem is not with the machine but with the water supply.
  • Continuous Fill- The valve may not fully seat under 20 PSI which would allow for a constant flow even when the machine isn't supposed to be filling.
    • Contact the water company to verify the pressure being supplied to the house
  • Error Codes- LF for long fill or FH for no water detected.
    • A plumber may need to be consulted if the pressure is found to be too low.

I have a C/H mod. PW1380- worked trouble free for many years, however, today, hooked up, powered up, worked fine until I released trigger, would not restart unless I shut off water supply while squezzing...

Bud The internal seals have blown just enough to cause this to malfunction, whilst it is only a small cost for the seals themselves the overall cost is $200 to repair as it has to be tested and servicd as a company policy ( just had my own done for the same reason)

It is not DIY as the tech showed me some of the pitfalls in self attempted fix and I am glad i didn't fiddle. The case is easily broken if you dont know how to open it and that;s just for starters.

Troy-bilt 2200 psi pressure washer

I have a Troybilt Model 2200 PSI Pressure Washer in which I have used only 2 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Went to use it this past weekend and the pump in not working. Water shoots out of the side. I bought this brand and model as I thought Troybilt was suppose to be so good. Went back to where it was purchased and had no success but to say I could buy another pump or take it in to be repaired. I believe that this power washer should be replaced at no charge. 2 uses does not constitute a few hundreds of dollars.
Have you to heard anything concerning pump problems on this particular model? Thanks for any advice. .

Pressure Washer quit running

I have owned four of those units. Every one of them did what you are experiencing or just wouldn't give me any pressure after only a few uses. The company was certainly no help. I gave up after four and bought a heavier gas model from Lowes. Hope this info helps.

Washer won't start a cycle

Try some WD40 on the machine door mechanism, not on the door; & open/close the door while the machine switch is off, for the mech to become free.
