My Kohler K-14418 has a push button diverter that tends to get stuck in the "in" (shower) position. Can't grab it with pliers, so here is what I found works:
1. Try duck or poster tape on end to pull it out. If that doesn't work, do the nuclear option.
2. Nuclear option (I know this sounds crazy but it works). Super glue your thumb to the end of the button and pull it out. Make sure you have super glue remover handy. Nail polish remover doesn't work.

Leaky single lever bath tub faucet

Faucet is leaking due to seats bad.

1- Turn water off first and remove handle and remove collar that holds stem and remove it..

2- in valve there are seats that looks like caps they may be in valve body or the end of stem itself.

3- Remove them and the springs and replace them this will take care of the leaking problem.

I changed the stem on hot water because shower leaking- now no hot water from shower head when water turned back on- wont pass stem and some spreay from where stem is?

I am not sure what brand of shower valve you have but it sounds like you lost a peice of rubber or plastic in the valve and it has either lodged in the diverter or somwhere from the valve to the shower head. Is it posible that you got the wrong stem or switched stems or maybe it was put in backwards. Wish i could narrow it down for you,Need better info.

No hot water pressure on kohler bath / shower faucet

Try draining the system and apply air pressure (min 30psi) to each faucet. Open other hot water faucets to allow pressure to vent. Next try draining and cleaning the hot water tank.

Tub shower diverter stem on tub spout broke and need to have instructions for how to replace the ROD Diverter seal o ring in the spout.

you must replace the whole stem.you can get it at homedepot. first take the cover off over the stem. this should screw off or is held on with a allen key.then unscrew stem from valve body.make sure water is off to tub, just in case.
