Generally speaking, if your Home Cinema system is able to pass-thru video as well as audio, you'll want to take the HDMI cable from the XBOX video out, into the Home Cinema system's input (any HDMI input should be fine), and then run the HDMI video out to your projector. Any other devices you want to be able to project as well (DVD/BluRay, PC, Cable, Satellite, etc.) would also be plugged into the Home Cinema system as "in" devices, like the XBOX.

When you want to display one of those devices, you would select that "in" port's input name in the Home Cinema system (for example, if the XBOX is connected to the HDMI in that is labeled "aux", you will switch the cinema system to Aux Input, and the projector should immediately begin getting the signal from the theatre system. To switch to another device, you simply change the Input channel on the Home Cinema.

The audio also, providing the device (the XBOX) can carry it on the HDMI cable, will also be delivered to the Home Cinema. Some devices cannot carry sound on HDMI (though many can). For those, you will need to run an HDMI cable for the video, and also an optical cable or other type of audio-only cable, for its audio. You do not need to run an audio cable to the projector though, as the projector is only for video. The Home Cinema will take care of the sound itself.

Check which port you have the HDMI cable connected to, then go into the menu on the TV, look for it on screen and Enable it .

There are 3 ways ways to do this from the left side of the laptop.

1) S-Video-out jack [Connects an optional S-Video device such as a television, VCR, camcorder, overhead projector, or video capture card.]

2) External monitor port [Connects an external VGA monitor or projector.]

3) HDMI port (select models only) [Connects an optional video or audio device such as a high definition television, set-top box, DVD player, or any compatible digital or audio component.]

Your TV will have one of those interfaces. You just need to look at your user manuals for both the Laptop and TV

Step 1
Learn the different types of video outputs your laptop may or may not support. The three most common types of video outputs used with overhead projectors are Video Graphics Array (VGA), Separated Video (S-Video) and High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). You need to make sure your laptop has the correct output corresponding to an input on the projector you will use.

Step 2
Weigh the strengths and weaknesses of each types of video input and output. VGA projectors are the most common type, indeed it is likely that any projector in current use will have a VGA input. However, VGA video offers the lowest resolution of the these three types. S-Video offers a higher resolution than VGA, but is prone to screen flicker, especially when you are connecting your laptop to a power supply while presenting, rather than running off the battery. HDMI offers the highest picture quality of the three, and supports audio data transfer as well. However, know that HDMI-equipped laptops and projectors are more expensive than those that utilize the other video transfer formats.

Step 3
Choose a video data transfer standard best suited to your price range and needs. VGA is always the safest bet, but if you are purchasing a new laptop computer, try to find one within your budget with an HDMI output as well, as it will provide the best quality and allow you to transmit audio without the use of extraneous equipment. S-Video inputs are found on nearly every LCD and Plasma television, meaning that if you are giving your presentation connected to a television rather than a projector, this is a viable option as well.

Step 4
Make sure you know how to tell your computer to recognize that you wish to use a projector as a secondary video output device. On Windows-based laptop computers, this usually involves pressing the "Function" (or "Fn") key, followed by one of the numbered "F" buttons along the top of your keyboard. In most cases there will be a graphic of what looks like a television screen on the correct "F" key (e.g. "F4"), but if you aren't sure consult the manual that came with your specific model.

Step 5
Connect your video cable of choice to your projector and your Windows laptop, turn the projector on, and press the correct function key. If you have a solid video card, pressing the same key combination a second time will allow you to view your laptop's screen both on the computer itself and as a projected image simultaneously.

Step 6
Connecting a laptop computer to an overhead projector can be a little trickier. You will need a special adapter to connect to a projector using VGA, as well as the standard VGA cable. This is called a DVI-VGA adapter, and is available both from Apple and other electronics vendors. Plug the adapter to the DVI port on your Macintosh laptop, then plug the VGA cable into the projector and the adapter. Turn on the projector, then press and hold the "F7" key on your Mac. You will be up and running in no time.

Step 7
Try a dry run of your presentation using your own laptop and the same projector you will be using, if possible. It pays to be prepared, and your audience will be able to tell if you are fumbling around for the right function keys on the day you present. Your confidence will help you start your presentation off with a bang, and it will show.

Goof information. Have you eliminated or proven the Onkyo as a cause by going direct to the projector? Try another Input and/or Output. It's best to know which component is broken and if it's limited to a specific subset of its function.

Settings are also indicated. Run through the video setup again. If it just stopped, what preceded it?

1. Connect cable to cable HD DVR box, connect video out of cable box to Sony receiver TV video in, connect audio L and R out of cable box to Sony receiver TV audio in and connect TV out of receiver to video in of Panasonic projector 2. Connect Audio and Video out of DVD player respectively to DVD in of receiver. Good Luck :)

Check your DVD players' settings/manual to ensure the HDMI port is the default output port. Also confirm that both audio and video are enabled on that HDMI channel as it can be separated to be only video or only audio in a lot of cases.
Confirm you are at least getting video out from the DVD with a direct connection to your projector with the HDMI cable.
If video is making it to the projector direct from the DVD, you will need to confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input if there isn't a specific input selection for it. Connect your DVD to the amp and your amp to the projector and test again that you are still getting video AT LEAST. This will help narrow down which device is not playing the HDMI game if you still have issues at this point.
To sum up;
Confirm HDMI is the default output from the DVD for both audio and video.
Ensure you are getting video AT LEAST with a direct test to projector.
Confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input coming from the DVD.

The Denon does not down scale you can not plug a DVD or other device in to the Denon using HDMI and have it come out Component, if your projector only has Component video inputs you must use Component video connections from the DVD and Cable box to the Denon

6. Surround sound from your set-top box will not be passed through the Xbox One.
7. When you perform this kind of basic setup with an A/V receiver, you're passing both audio and video through another device. Depending on your equipment, there's a small risk of audio or video lag.
8. Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.
9. Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to the HDMI input on your TV.
10. Connect the audio output from the TV to the audio input on the sound bar using either HDMI or optical S/PDIF cables.
