I have an EasyShare CX7525 camera that won't turn on. I have replaced the rechargeable batteries, but it still won't turn on. What else can I try?

I had the exact same problem./ What I did , which was a long shot. I put the camera back into the Docker and after a few mins turned it on while still on the dock and BINGO!!! Worked for both our CX 7525 and 7530. Hope this is of help. GL

Check the contacts in the camera to be sure they are clean and free of any crusty white gunk. If so, scrape that stuff off. Try non rechargable batteries. It's possible that the recharables are dead.

What camera dock is compatible with cx7525 camera?

hi Judy!
Camera dock series 3 is not directly compatible but don't fret, you can buy the d-26 adapter from Kodak Online Store to make it compatible with your CX camera.

Unfortunately the directly compatible cam docks for your camera are already discontinued so just keep your dock3 and get the d-26 adapter.

Won't hold a charge

what rechargeable batteries are you using and what's your method of charging?

If your using a dock for charging - make sure you have the battery pack kodak kaa2hr otherwise the dock won't charge it

if you're using a separate charger - it's ok to use other AA ni-mh

please check the age of your batteries as well.. batts, even rechargeable eventually wear out - they can last up to 300 charging cycles and a year or a little more than that is enough for you consider buying a new set

if you say that you barely use the cam, batteries still deteriorate through time
