Here is a simple tip that may help you decide what is causing this problem. If the ice maker has no ice cubes in the slots fill with tap water and allow water to freeze. If the ice maker cycles and drops the ice into the ice bin and then does not refill with water the problem is the 241734302 Water Inlet Valve (providing that the model number above your post is correct) If the ice maker only sits there with ice in the slots and does nothing the ice maker is the problem 5303918277 Ice Maker Assembly Testing the water control valve is as follows. I will be here to answer any questions you may have, Thanks Sea Breeze

It sounds like you need to adjust the size of the ice cubes.

If they stick together in a long row, to much water, and then of course if they are too small that is also a problem. All you have to do is remove the outer cover of the icemaker and look for the set screw. It will stand out from the others. and be marked with a Plus and a Minus sign. Whichever you are having the problem with, adjust accordingly. I would try 1/4 turn increments. See how that works after One day and then re-adjust as needed.
Hope this helps you out.

SOURCE: Ice maker

I just resolved an issue with my kenmore elite side by side refrigerator icemaker (model 106).
It was expensive because I took the long road to fixing the unit myself.

My problem: No water going up to the freezer water dispenser into the icemaker but the water in front of the door working just fine.

-first thing i tried was the simplest. The Internet is clogged with this miracle fix of using a hair dryer to melt the frozen water line going to the dispenser output. This is highly unlikely for our model since the water line is protected within the refrigerator frame.

-2nd thing I replaced my water filter (thinking that there wasn't enough water pressure to trigger the solenoid valve. $40, and still no luck.

-3rd thing was I tested for voltage going to the solenoid. No voltage going to solenoid, so I wasted $30 for a new solenoid.....still no water.

-4th thing was I ordered a new IR sensor and receiver (since the reciever end is where the relay that sends the voltage to the solenoid to turn on and allow water to go up to the dispenser).
My IR sender and receiver appeared to be working flakey.
Installed, still no water. $58 BUCKS ON EBAY (EVERYWHERE ELSE $100+)

-I finally removed the freezer front little white door, I TURNED OFF THE FREEZER SWITCH SO NO VOLTAGE WAS PRESENT, removed the release latch underneath the freezer unit and disconnected, and removed the freezer unit to inspect it further.
When I removed the protective white cover that covers the mechanical wheel, I had a few parts come flying out of it. Turns out that the wheel accessories were damaged. THERE ARE NO REPAIRABLE PARTS ON THE FREEZER UNIT. I FOUND ONE ON EBAY FOR $39 BUCKS + $9 SHIPPING! $48 BUCKS, SWAPPED THE HARNESS AND BOTTOM COVER, AND IN 20 MINUTES, I WAS BACK IN BUSINESS. STARTED MAKING ICE IN ABOUT A HALF HOUR!!!!!

when in doubt, replace the freezer unit for $48 bucks! 7 out of 10 times it will fix your problems. All techs replace the IR set at the same time too which will set you back another $58 bucks.
Good luck! ;)

SOURCE: Frigidaire side by side FRS24ZSG. Door Dispenser doesn't work

click on the wiring diagram and look at the circuit which powers the dispenser...it looks like the safety switch would be a problem to all the functions you listed above..such as the light not working.. no ice... no water

i would look for power to that safety switch..and if its getting power.. then i would check continuity through that switch.

also another possibility maybe its the wiring harness that leads to the dispenser.

How do i fix a loud noise coming from my frigidaire glrs264za refrigirator?

Sounds like you have ice buildup next to the evaporator fan that circulates air inside the fridge. Ice buildup happens due to too much moisture - door open for extended periods, leaky door seal, heating system meant to de-ice the fridge not doing its job. You can approach this two ways. Unplug and leave both sides of the fridge open for at least 24 hours to let it thaw, or open up the fan cover and thaw it with a hair dryer (fridge unplugged ofcourse). Option two is faster, but more labor intensive. This wont solve the underlying problem of ice buildup, but will get rid of the noise for some time (likely months).

Refrigerator drips with water

Is the ice maker overflowing? Have you checked the waterfilter to see if it is leaking. These are the things you should rule out before going any further.

I own a Frigidaire refrigirator model PLRS267ZA and the ice maker gets stuck / frozen mid ice making then starts to click because the gears can no longer turn. is there any way to fix this or do i have to...

It is best just to replace the ice maker. there are many small parts in the ice maker. You may be able to purchase just the gears but they are usually a factory order.

What is the ideal temp setting in GE side by side refrigirator. I have Freezer (0-9) Refrigirator (0-9) There was ice on the Freezer wall and the service guy replaced the defrost thermostat recently

If replacing the defrost thermostat fixed the icing problem that doesn't indicate your settings are wrong. But the desired temp in the freezer is from 0 to 10 degrees and in the fridge around 35 degrees. The actual number on your dial depends on the personal use. Use a thermometer to check it and allow 24 hours after changing it to check it.

My refrigirator Frigidaie FRS26H7CSBO started by not making any ice,, then made ice but put to much water that the water came from the ice maker into the door and now the freezer and fresh food side...

I would suggest you unplug it for maybe 15 minutes before restarting. If the condenser is caked with ice maybe a couple of hours would get it defrosted.

Adjust the "freezer" knob. This adjustment adjust the amount of cold air coming from the freezer to the fridge.

My fridge has begun to almost stop making ice. It

Unless it has a broken seal, the fridge is most probably lacking refrigirant or pressure is weak. First thing you should do is check that the compressor is switching regularly and normally. Check refrigirant pressure and re-gas if necessary.

Sounds like the unit may be stuck in to defrost . The defrost clock is usually inside of the refrigerator compartment up by the thermostat controls. you can take a screw driver and advance the controller to make the compressor come back on . usually when they start to stick they neeed replacing. good luck and please don't forget to rate the answer please. Thanks for using FixYa.

Refrigidare model # plhs267za

sounds like the air damper control for refrig is freezing in the open positon. not a really consumer freindly repair,(dropping side control panel checking damper door for ice build up, removing ice and applying a silicone lubricant(vasiline) to prevent further freezing of air damper motor. sounds easy enoug but that panel is real tricky to drop and mount back in.
