Piston position? Am getting ready to replace the piston on my 410r tiller and when I took the old piston out I failed to note which way it goes back in! Does the dished/relieved side of the piston skirt go toward the front of the motor or does it face toward the muffler and the back of the motor ? Thanks. Ted

The "dished" or relieved of the top of the piston goes below the valves. Note the piston of the valves in the head an orient the piston relief below them.

Look closely at this exploded diagram.
It appears the piston 'relief' goes to the flywheel side.

SOURCE: looking for a recall pully for a 410r tiller

I live 3 miles from where these are made, and I had a hard time getting a replacement part for a homelite tiller. All of these are made by the same company. But if you will google "Ryobi Anderson SC" it's really called TTI. this is the place that makes them. Hope this helps. It will give you direct numbers to contact. # 864.226.6511

Installing the fuel line on ryobi 410r tiller

To install the fuel line on a Ryobi 410r tiller, follow these steps:
  1. Prepare the tools and materials: You will need a replacement fuel line compatible with your Ryobi 410r tiller, needle-nose pliers, and a small container or towel to catch any fuel spills.
  2. Remove the old fuel line: If there is an existing fuel line, carefully disconnect it from the fuel tank and carburetor. Use needle-nose pliers to loosen any clamps or connectors securing the fuel line in place. Drain any remaining fuel from the old fuel line into a container.
  3. Cut a new fuel line: Measure and cut a new fuel line to the appropriate length, ensuring it matches the size and diameter of the original fuel line. It's a good idea to bring the old fuel line to a hardware store to ensure you get the correct replacement.
  4. Attach the fuel line to the fuel tank: Insert one end of the new fuel line into the fuel tank's opening. Push the fuel line in until it reaches the bottom of the tank. Make sure it is securely seated.
  5. Connect the fuel line to the carburetor: Locate the fuel inlet port on the carburetor. Insert the other end of the fuel line into the port, ensuring it fits snugly. If there are clamps or connectors, secure them to hold the fuel line in place.
  6. Check for leaks: Double-check that all connections are tight and secure. Look for any signs of fuel leakage around the fuel line connections. If you notice any leaks, recheck the connections and tighten them if necessary.
  7. Test the fuel line: Add fuel to the tank and start the engine to verify that the fuel line is properly installed. Observe the fuel line for any signs of leaks or irregularities while the engine is running.
