Husqvarna YTH20K46 no power. HELP!

I have a Husqvarna YTH20K46. After finishing last mow (last week), I tried to turn off mower and would not turn off by key. I had to put it down to choke and then stand up. It created a backfire. Today I went to start it, now won't start. It does not turn over. Hour meter has no power. Tested battery & solenoid. Power to both. Key switch works fine. Any suggestions? Just had it serviced a few months ago. Oil, gas and all other things seem fine. Checked wiring, seems fine. Nothing melted or cut. Please help!

Not turning off sounds like an ignition switch problem. Not starting - then I think you should check the Low Tension side of the solenoid again to make sure there is current from the switch. If the solenoid's OK, the battery's fully charged with all the connections clean and tight, then it has to be the starter motor or engine. Check you can turn the engine by hand, if so then I would guess, it's probably the starter motor.
Good Luck

SOURCE: trouble code ch6 oil on hour meter

SERVICE REMINDER/HOUR METER
Service reminder shows the total number of hours the engine
has run and flashes to indicate that the engine or mower needs
servicing. When service is required, the service reminder will
flash for two hours. To service engine and mower, see the
Maintenance section of this manual.
NOTE: Service reminder runs when the ignition key is in any
position but “STOP”. For accurate reading, be sure key remains
in the “STOP” position when engine is not running.

Check to see if you left the blades engaged. There is a safety switch that prevents starting with blades engaged. Easy to miss, happened to a friend of mine last month.

Hi Sue and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. You have been quite lucky to get 7 years out of your battery. Given the age of the battery that is currently installed this is most likely your problem. You have voltage but very little amperage due to thinned out battery plates.... (
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

SOURCE: John deere Z225 riding mower

measure with a valt meter and see what your voltage is at the battery . now measure what you have for volts at the soleoid. then check to see if you are getting 12 volts to the single peg on your soleoid, usually a whitwe wire. If your not getting voltage to this wire you probably have a safety switch problem. If you are getting voltage here check to make sure you are getting voltage at the starter motor. If your getting voltage there you may have a bad ground at the starter motor or the whole motor may need to be grounded to the frame.

Black smoke is generally indicative of a rich fuel system. whitish blue smoke is generally burning oil.
It sounds like there is something wrong with the fuel metering at full throttle. You might check that the mechanical compression release isn't coming on when you go to full throttle.

Husqvarna 6021p won't start

Make sure spark plug wire is connected and that plug is not blackened and fouled out. Also check your fuel filter (plugged?), the handbar safety lever & it pull cable and make sure it is opening the breather assembly down at the motor or closing the proper switch (unsure of the setup) Those are typically the most common problems. Husqvarna riding mower modle yth20k46 that move very slow

The link rod from the petal to the transmission straightened out at the rear bend. Take it off and bend it slightly further to make it go forward faster. The 1/2" nut above where the rod connects to the transmission is adjustable to set it where it doesn't move when your foot is off the petal. Loosen it a bit and you can move the petal slightly forward or backward to adjust it. Depending on how much you bent the rod it won't take much adjustment. Re-tighten and try it out. It may take a few tries. Good luck!

Husqvarna yth20k46 - When turning transmission does not work

I only had my mower 3 months and that problem started. I was told to change the drive belt, It got worse. Now the transmission will only drive the mower for about 15 min and will come to a complete stop. I have to let it sit about 30 min before the drive will work again. No solution yet but I'm looking at replacing the "sealed" drive assy. I do have a very healthy yard of St Augustine which is tough. I can mow a thinner yard a little longer.n
