Geezer, sounds like a defrost issue. I usually find the bi-metal to be the culprit on this model. Check out the pic. You will have to remove the back panel in the freezer and defrost the evaporator. Remove the ice maker if there is one. The back cover has 4 quarter inch screws. remove those. The air vent has 2 plastic clips one each side and one on the bottom, push in and pull the grill off. The thermistor cover has a slot for a flat blade screw driver, push in and pull the cover off. The thermistor will now slide behind the back panel. Check the bi-metal for buldging. As long as the evaporator fan is working, it's probably a defrost problem.

the middle insulation hasbecome water logged, forma faulty defrost tube, so, every time trhe unit defrost, 2 maybe 3 times a day it will spill water inti the vents, andin to the refrig, the only correct way to fix is to have the enitre center drain block replaced, part not that expensive but labor to install may be, ohter then nussincence, not really affecting machines workings

This problem was posted in the wrong section. My model didn't have it's own, so its in ABB1927DE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - perhaps you could create a section for it.
As it turns out, I looked more closely at the baskets inside. We had noticed that if the top basket was slid all the way forward when we closed the door that it would close better. So I looked to see if they or the slides were out of alignment. They seemed ok, but then I saw that the way the bottom basket was hanging didn't seem right - it was not quite nestled into it's retainer slot. I took the baskets out and turned the bottom one around. It fit perfectly into it's retainer slot. I then replaced the top one (it was already in correctly) and closed the door. It sealed correctly the first time. I tested it several times after that and it sealed tightly. Closing the top door did not make it unseal as it had done before.

HI, your Air damper control assembly is faulty. you should replace this vital part asap.
SOURCE: loud humming noise (vibration) from freezer
Remove the back panel and see if the fan is turning. You will need it in the running cycle with the door switch closed. The noise your hearing is probally the fan assembly AP4008960. Make sure it is mounted tight and the back panel is not rubbing or loose. If the fan is making noise with the panel removed replace.
