Hi. The plumbers were trying to shut off the power but instead one electrified the other 5 times. They were just turning off and on the circuit breaker and the refrigerator doesn't work. We checked the dials, good. We plugged it in tight, good. Plug in to another outlet, good. The lights work inside, good. But in the back it seems to make a small humming noise. It does not get things cool and we feel a little wind. It doesnt hum like it used to. Now, In the freezer side it is making frost.
Can it be the compressor or a fuse that blew out in the unit?
help!
This fridge could be on defrost but more than likely it needs to stay unpluged in for about 1 to 2 hours so the compressor can cool off.
if it were in defrost the timer will keep it off for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Check the fan in the freezer side to make sure it is running. If the fan is running and you have frost, then you have a defrost problem, Heater is not coming on to melt ice. If fan is not running replace fan.
