Onboard audio automaticly disabeled by video card

It sounds if it may be that you need to turn off the HDMI audio in the nVidia Control Panel. This can be accessed from either the system tray or by right clicking on the desktop. From the control panel, select "change resolution" under the "Display" heading and in the right panel select your display and you should find a drop down box under for the connecter, which will allow you to select HD audio disabled, then you can exit and save changes.

How do i find out witch display driver to disable so i can install new video card

You don't need to disable any driver, unplug, use ESD protection, install Graphics Card, move the monitor cable to the new card,(you may have to boot on the old monitor connection and install driver), install the driver for the new card and reboot plug into the new card. Do your windows updates to obtain the latest driver. You can open the Device Manager, open Display adapters and disable the Intel graphics adapter. Is it a PCI or AGP Graphics Card? Remember: with a Aftermarket Graphics Card it requires more Power/Watts, you should consider a PSU upgrade. You didn't post the Make, Model Graphics Card, usually there is a Min. Power Spec. for the card listed on the box.

I have a Dell Vostro 400 and two video cards. Only one card will work and it is an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200.The other one is an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO. These are the specs from the two graphics cards:...

you cant join two different platform vga cards. simply because they have their own platform and have separate drivers, so they conflict each other thus causing one of them shut off or disable..

Pc powers up but no video on screen gateway 420gr desktop

Yes generally speaking when you drop in a videocard it typically will disable the built on one. You may have to disable it though. I know you said you did not see the onboard video in BIOS but there is almost always a setting in there to turn it off.

Windows installs multiple instances of my video card the. the card is nvidia 5900ultra the board is mx46-533v w/onboard video which i cant figure out how to disable

If you really want to disable the onboard video, right click on it in the display properties and select disable. However leaving it on really shouldn't be an issue.

Now the reason you are showing multiple instances of your nvidia card is because there is more than one monitor output on the back. You can hook up two monitors to the card and therefore it is showing up as multiple instances in your display properties. Again, this isn't an issue and is nothing to worry about.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
