I've looked in advanced pic settings and in the set-up menu. There is just a blank spot where the auto tune option should be according to the manual and everything I can find on the internet. How could it just disappear?
Check if the convergence menu option is also missing. If so this may be related to a common convergence failure on these models. You can get and RCA convergenfe repair kit from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com and others.

It was the zoom !! I lost the tv remote, I went to Radio Shack for a Universal remote and they didn't have one with a Zoom button,
The tv menu doesn't have a Zoom button either...Finally found one that works and all is WELL! Depending on what the tv station transmits, the screen size changes in the auto-matic selection in the menu.

There are several things that can cause this. There is a "light pipe" that connects from the lamp to the color wheel. If the mirrors inside have become dirty, broken, or have shifted it will cause the picture to do this. Also the color wheel itslef could be dirty or worn out. And the final culprit could be the light engine itself. You can have any in home TV tech test these out for you.

Just press menu and then scroll down to settings and then under settings menu you should be able to see convergence. If not its disappaeared and thats a easy an inexspensive repair.

yes it should be under settings. If not its disappeared you can fix it yourself for 22.00 which includes the parts and detailed instructions with pictures that show how to do the repair. Heres a link to that kit.
