Do I need anything besides two cheap bluetooth adapters so I can print to my KODAK 5300 printer from my laptop without my husband's desktop computer having to be up and running? My laptop has Vista and I've read comments about some problems using BlueSoleil stacks (whatever those are) with Vista. Newegg has Kingwin 150 M bluetooth adapters for $8.49 each.
Thanks for your help.
I appoligize for the wait.
uh, oh yea,
well install your sticks!
your computer may only need one stick because your printer is bluetooth enabled (unless your the sticks say that you need two.)
1) turn on the printer
2) plug the sticks into your computer.
3) with your bluetooth software find the printer.(look for your printer name, or somthing that resembles a shorter version of its name.)
4) connect to the printer and print your photos
I don't know what software you are using but usually their is a "step one, two", or more that the software may have but again I don't know what you use.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite and a search indicates a Bluetooth file folder and a Toshiba Bluetooth Stack file folder - amidst numerous other Bluetooth hits. When I clicked on the Bluetooth Information shortcut, the computer started trying to install a driver but asked me to plug in the bluetooth device (which I do not have right now) so I had to cancel.
According to the documentation on my printer, it is also Bluetooth enabled.
A friend who also has a Kodak 5300 told me I could use the two Bluetooth sticks to do wireless printing. I just don't know too much about this technology.
Does this help? And thanks for your help.
No problem on the wait. I'm not in that big of a hurry.
Um, I haven't purchased the sticks yet, I wanted to be sure this would work before expending the funds. Thanks to your advice, I will purchase just one for now to see if that will allow me to print wireless.
Thanks again!
well cheap and just plain crappy are two different things.
does the bluetooth that is connected to your computer have software?
Is bluetooth featured on your printer?
