Do I just remove the screws or is there elecronics invlolved
Two screws on hinge. Remove door. Two screws on latch to take off and then transfer to old hinge side. Two screws above and below latch for new hinge attachments. Replace screws where original hinge was. Easy. Pull hard if hinge is stuck-it's just stuck on the painted surface from original build.
I recently moved into a house and it had the washer and dryer included.
Being left-handed I need to reverse the door on my LG dle5001w dryer. And for practical reasons it should have been reversed from day one because of the way it sits next to the top-loading LG washer.
Reversing the door should be as simple as slicing a piece of apple pie. I watched plenty of videos and I get it.
BUT: I couldn't get the inside cover off.
IT seems stuck.
I didn't want to break anything. Reassemble the door on to the dryer until I come up with a solution.
I guess the question is "How much torque or force should I use to separate the inside portion of the dryer cover from from the outside dryer cover?"
The dryer apparently is 10 or more years old and it could be just sealed from use.
The dryer works fine.
Is something you can recommend to help unseal the inside cover from the front door so I can reverse the door?
I'm thinking I'll need a very very strong yet thin piece of plastic rather than a screwdriver because a screwdriver (as shown in the videos) can scratch the metal on the inside the door.
Suggestions? Please?
No electronics involved in reversing a LG dryer door. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it rates about a 2. Go for it.
