I'm trying to replace the top door on the handle

Hi well to do this you need a service manual, these have exploded diagrams and circuits and schematics too, for your exact make and model, these can usually be obtained via the 'net or through a direct approach to the manufacturer or agent. I have had a search for one but have been unable to find any for free but there is a buy link below too ...? Also accordingly i give you a link, so you can contact the manufacturers agent, to hopefully obtain one?

I have put fresh batteries in my Canon Power Shot S1 camera and it still will not come on? Can you help me?

Contact failures may have occurred between the camera and the batteries.

Confirming that the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] is securely closed

If the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] is not securely closed, the power of the camera may not turn on.

Close the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] securely, and then turn the power on.

Clean the battery terminals with a dry cotton swab that has a fine and soft tip, and then re-insert the batteries.

If your camera uses four AA-size alkaline batteries supplied with the camera, follow the procedure below. In addition to Alkaline batteries you may use optional nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries.

1. Be sure that the camera power is off.

2. Slide the battery cover lock in the direction of the arrow, and push the battery cover slightly forward. Then open the cover.

My canon xha1 is not recording. It says that it is, and timecode runs, but when I go to playback I get the blue screen. I cleaned the heads, no luck.

This is most likely caused by a damaged or misaligned video drum and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

The lcd screen on my canon xha1 is displaying everything upside down, why is this and how do I fix it?

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective component on the flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to usually be repaired by a qualified service technician.
