I was using a Harmony 1 remote and trying to record a show and when I changed channels, the picture went blank but the sound is good. The menus appear on the screen when selected, other channels exhibit the same condition. I may have hit a wrong button on the remote but I've tried all the buttons that I think I may have pressed. Is there a setting on the TV that might cause such a problem?

I had this problem. Unplug it while it is powered on. Worked for me.

I am not familiar with the Time Warner remote, but Tivo remotes require pressing "tv power" and the "Tivo" button at the same time to program them.
Maybe you are pressing one a little ahead of the other.

It can be the 24vdc power supply is not working due to bad caps, or the backlight inverter board shorted out, those are the two areas you need to check first.

The problem does not seem to be that of the remote more so coz the front panel controls are not working either. I really believe that this is an issue related to faulty microprocessor circuits which means that we have to replace the main A/V board to resolve it. If you would like to do it yourself, then please remove the back cover of the tv and get me the part number thats printed on the large board at the center that has all the inputs.
