The rubber gasget came off of my front load nexxt 500 series washer
I have the perfect solution the placing of the Retaining Spring back on the Bosch Nexxt 500 Door Gasket. It only took me only 5 Minutes after fighting with it for hours and getting nowhere. What I did was purchase a set of 12 inch hemostats (long Clamping Pliers). The ends of the Hemostats I wrapped both of the jaws with Electrical tape to prevent the Spring on the retainer from sliding up the jaws of the hemostat. When the ends of the retainer are placed on the ends of the jaws and the hemostat opened the spring is stretched. I found that If you use your knee to hold the hemostat open while placing the retainer in the groove of the gasket you can slowly release the springs and set the retainer back into the gasket without the gasket pulling off the tabs.

gasket is off, and I'm not sure how to reattach... hell, I'm not sure how the thing came off in the FIRST place... I saw somewhere a person recommended using a flathead screwdriver as a tool to help get that spring/wire back in place.
I guess I'll try that - unless someone has a better idea.. sure does seem like a LOT of us with the same problem ... we're all on the internet and there's NOTHING in the manual addressing this problem..
