Ok....when i turn my laptop on ...it usually works for 20-40 minutes but then just turns off even though its pluged in....WHy does it do this?
Does it feel like it's overheating?
OK if it feels hot it's probably shutting down in order to prevent heat damage.
Get some compressed air from Office Depot / Wal-Mart / Target / Radioshack etc.
While the computer is off and battery removed spray air into the vents to clean the dust out, depending on how dusty your laptop is this will at the very least increase and prevent your computer from shutting down.
If you still experience the problem the laptop will probably have to be professionally cleaned and a new layer of thermal paste applied.
A BIOS update is also recommended BUT be very very careful to ONLY apply the update while the computer is COOL.
If the computer was to shut down during the bios firmware upgrade you could experience major problems.

It does feel like its overheating and i do recieve an error screen saying there is an error with file FAT 32
Which operating system are you using?
Which programs / games do you run?
Do you get an error screen?
