If you select a regual cycle to wash the clothes, after about 3 minutes (once the maching fills up with water) the washer will stop and the UE code will flash. I have emptied the water via the valve at the bottom of the front of the washer, unplugged the machine and tried again but still get the same UE code no matter how much or how little is in the washer. The washing machine will sometimes work on the Quick Cycle but sometimes not. I have noticed the problem always appears after the machine fills up with water (sometimes the clothes are still dry when the Error Code UE flashes). Any ideas on what the problem could be? I really don't want to spend a lot of money for someone to come out and look at it if the problem could be a simple fix.

UE code is an "unbalance error". Believe it or not, it is possible to unbalance a front load style washing machine. Usually caused by trying to wash smaller loads where the drum spins to try to distribute the weight evenly. With less laundry, you cannot distribute enough weight evenly around the drum and sometimes will cause an unbalanced load. If your problem is not a simple loading issue, it could be the balance sensor, loose wiring, or possibly the main control board. I hope this helps.

IE:
• Water supply is not adequate in
area.
• Water supply taps are not
completely open.
• Water inlet hose is bent.
• The filter of the inlet hose clogged.
Solution:
Check another tap in the house.
Fully open tap.
Straighten hose.
Check the filter of the inlet hose.
UE:
• Load is too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The appliance has an imbalance
detection and correction system. If
individual heavy articles are loaded
(bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, after several
attempts to restart the spin cycle the
machine will stop and the error code
will be displayed.
Solution:
Add 1 or 2 similar items to help
balance the load.
Rearrange load to allow proper
spinning.

This is an Imbalance code. Your issue may be with:
Try adjusting the load size, and make sure the unit is level.

I just checked the load I started (quick cycle) and it was a medium sized load with jeans and towels but the clothes were not all the way wet. I changed the setting to hand wash quick cycle and took out half of the clothing that was in the washer. So far this load has not stopped and gave me an error message.
