You need a cell to put these numbers first. Lets say A1 is your reference cell where the numbers are going to be input. B1 is the cell that you are going to see the calculation. Type the following formula in B1

=IF(A1<4,4*60,A1*60)

after doing this you can put any number in A1 and it will give you the calculation in B1 as the way you wanted.

I need help creating a nested if/and statement in Excel using the following parameters:

See if this works

=IF(J28<17,0,IF(J28<=25, J27*0.12, IF(J28<=30, J27*0.15, IF(J28<=35, J27*0.2, IF(J28<=40, J27*0.25, J27*0.3)))))

You may have to adjust for your boundary conditions. For example, if the value is 25, do you want to multiply by 12% or 15%?

Good luck,

How to muliply fractions with whole number

You should multiply the top line only of the fraction.

eg 2/3 x 5 = 10/3

This will often give an improper fraction, that is, one with the numerator (top line) greater than the bottom (denominator). Its value is then greater than one.

You can then reduce this by dividing the bottom into the top line, and writing the remainder as a fraction

eg 10/3 = 3 and 1/3

Determine the domain and the range of the

Domain and range are concepts that many students have trouble with, so you are not alone!

Domain is the x values of the relation.
Range is the y values of the relation.

If you have trouble remembering which one is which , like I do, D comes before R, just like x comes before y;)

To determine if a relation is a function, there are several tests that you can use. For every x value, there can be one and only one y value. If there is more than one y value for any x value, it is not a function.

Another test is the vertical line test. If a vertical line only goes through one point on the line, it is a function. If it goes through two points on the line, it is not a function.

As an example, let's look at y = (x-3)^2 + 6.

This parabola is in the form, y=a(x-h)^2 + k, where a indicates a stretch or compression, and whether the parabola opens up or down. If a is positive, it opens up, and the y value of the vertex represents a minimum. If a is negative, it opens down, and the y value of the vertex is a maximum. The values h and k are the x and y values of the vertex.

In this case, a is one, so the parabola opens up, with a minimum value of 6.''

Now back to the domain and range.

Since we can use any value for x in the equation, for the domain, x is an element of real numbers, sometimes written (xER).

For the range, y can only be greater than or equal to the minimum. So the range is y is an element of all real numbers, such that y is greater or equal to 6, sometimes written (yER'y>=6). Sorry I couldn't find the greater than or equal to character;)

Good luck.

How do I compute 75,000 shares issue for cash of $10 par common stock at $23?

You first compute the capital stock value using the par value of $10. That would be 75,000 X $10 = $750,000. The final calculation uses the $13 balance. ($23-$10). That is, again, multiplied by the 75,000 to obtain $975,000 which is paid-in-capital in excess of capital stock. Adding both calculated amounts, we get $1,725,000 the full value of the stocks.

Typeface too big for monitor

Open the preferences menu in your browser and set the desired font sizes. It is possible someone has set minimum font size to too large a value. This works in Firefox. I am not sure about IE, as I don't use that crappy program unless i am forced to.
It is usually best to set minimum font sizes and allow the site to set the font to any value greater than the set value. Make this value the size you can read comfortably. Warning, anything smaller than 8 points is hard to read,

How do i multiply a value by a minimum amount

I you have a row with 6 values you can get the minimum number from that area. Example:
A1: 6
A2: 8
A3: 3
A4: 9
A5: 2
A6: 7

in B2 we want to pick the smallest value in that group and multiply it with 60. This is what you type in B2

=min(A1:A6)*60

Yeah :)
that's all.... Good Luck :)

Excel 2002 formula

Try this:

=IF((E2<38),B2*14.3, IF((E2<44),B2*15.05, IF((E2<50),B2*15.8,0)))

Note that <38 is the same as <=37. Also, you can replace the 0 at the end with empty quotes "" for a blank cell.
