Washing Machine won't drain away water.

Hi, Our Hoover Nextra HNV 6147 Washing Machine has stopped draining water away, it ultimately ends up flashing error code 3 (drain/pump timeout according to the manual). I've put a brand new drain pump on today and have checked all pipes for blockages and they're all clear. When the pipes are removed from the drum I can put a jug of clean water through the drum and it drains through quickly into a strategically placed pan. I've checked the connection to the u-bend and it's all clear and the water drains away nicely when I disconnect the waste pipe from the u bend and place it lower than the drum. Got to be honest I'm stuck now - I'm just about out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi, can you hear the pump running when you select a drain program?

  • Peter Bond Mar 11, 2013

Thanks for the reply but no we can't hear it. Looking at other people with similar makes of washer it could be the control panel - ouch......

SOURCE: Hi, good evening. I have a zanussi iz12 washing

Hi there

I have an IZ12 jetsystem which sometimes works and other times it starts and then clicks and stops just before the water starts to run in. I usually turn it off and try it again a few hours later and then it starts to work again. Sometimes it is the next day before it will work again. Would anyone know the problem?

SOURCE: Error code 'FH' flashing -

FH: If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering
machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be
displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after
8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing
through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will
be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
If there is no water in the unit:
-Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned
on all the way.
-Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in
the inlet valves.
-Verify inlet valve operation.
If there is water in the unit:
-Verify drain pump operation.
-Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and
properly connected to tub and pressure switch.
1. Verify there is not a siphon problem.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves,
pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and
Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check all hoses for possible leaks.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power
6. Verify pressure switch operation.
7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and
measuring the resistance.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Nextra HNWF 3135 doesn't work hole cycle, after washing stops, doesn't rinse or spin, these steps I must set up manually, because it doesn't do. I've tried to do with different programs...

Ok hot water being still there and not draining is a clog in your drain line or pump issue. I have not yet brought up the schematic to your unit but on some units there is a clean out filter located down the bottom in which you would clean out the filter careful water does come out when you unscrew the filter on other models that do not have the filter door you would remove the lower panel on the front which would give you access to the pump and the drain lines as well even though if you do find items in the filter you still need to disconnect the drain lines going to and leaving from the pump to assure that nothing is blocking or clogging the flow of water. Im glad you replyed about the hot water still being on the inside definite clog in the drain line or pump or filter issue. If you have any further questions message me back. I await your reply Thanks

Hoover Nextra HNF2127 washing machine. Lights flashing at finish

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the base and also check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Machine not taking the last fastest spin to drain the water.

the problem is that your machine is not emptying the water fast enough as the machine takes in a good deal more water on the rinse. clean the filter.

Machine not draining

Can you hear the pump running just before the spin cycle, if so then I suspect a blockage in the filter or pump hose, If not and machine is quiet then it could be a faulty water pump or PCB board and you would have to call a technician.

Water not draing away and machine is not spinning

Empty your machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl or bucket. Then remove the kick plate and check the filter for blockages. Before replacing try the machine on drain to see if the pump is running, if problem persists there may be a blockage in the pipe from the drum to the pump.

Hoover nextra 1200

The machine only allows a limited time for all the water to drain out before it starts spinning. If the is a blockage or obstruction in the drain hose or drain pump, the machine will not allow all the water to be pumped out and it will not spin. Check for any restriction especially under the sink/tub where the drain hose attatches to the drain spigot.

I had a problem and when they took the back off. Underwire bra had got jammed through drum holes which stopped it spinning and water issues. I hope this might help.
