I have 2 different magnia sg20 servers. One is in the office and the other one at home. Now I want to access one server from the other network. But as both of them have the same ip, I am blocked. So I changed the ip for one server, but still the vpn is not working. The vpn at both server works from outside these 2 networks

No. You are on two different networks. Regardless of the hardware. Treat the home server just like any other PC or tablet. Make sure it has a dynamic IP via DHCP from your home router or ISP modem. Then connect via VPN.

You will not be able to network the two servers unless you have right equipment and network configuration. You would have to work with your service provider to obtain static IP's.

Internal IPs are irrelevant, because you can assign them your self internally. That means no one else sees them.

SOURCE: cannot access admin functions toshiba magnia sg20

If it was unplugged for any period of time, it is probably reset to default settings. Password is default, etc and you are trying to access with the wrong credentials.

Try resetting it manually and starting as if you just purchased it, if you continue to have problems. There should be a reset button or procedures on how to reset in the documentation.

Computer no longer recognizes server

Assuming this problem is for ANY computer, not just the one.
If you still have internet access through the device, but cannot see network shares, your Samba server is down. If a full restart does not solve the problem, you need to learn Samba/Linux -or- you need to re-image the drive to factory defaults.

Use a pen or paper clip to push the reset button that is on the back panel. Look toward the top by the power plug-in.

Need to reset to factory setting

Press reset button on back of unit AFTER system has fully booted (time will be displayed) and your system will be back to default values - password = applianceadmin.

You can also re-image the drive to factory defaults.

do you have an admin icon on your desktop?
if not type in the ip addx 192.168.1.1 and see if you go to the admin.
on network connections , right click on my network places, click map network drive,
select a drive letter and then browse for the two folders on the "myserver" select one of them and click apply or ok. the drive will show up in mycopmuter do the same for the other folders
as far as the log in is concerned it is best to set a level 3 user name and pw on the server then do the same user name and pw for a new windows login user.
