My washer, frigidaire stops at the spin dry cycle. Even after manually turning the timer the spin dry or pump wont work. Spinning back to the normal wash cycle it works. Checked the pump directly connecting the leads in 220 volt and it works fine. Possibly, I doubt the timer problem. But at the spin cycle the time clicks and stops. Maybe the timer motor doesnt respond at the spin cycle. I tried opening the timer and found the cam inside is okay. Am not sure if the cam has worn out cud be the reason the cam track work out. Any suggestion please help how to check the timer circuit continuity.

SOURCE: washer makes a loud noise

Hi

As per your description it sounds like the motor drive coupler has failed. If the drive coupler fails you will hear the motor running but nothing will happen except water will pump out. Tilt the front of the washer up a couple of inches & look on the floor for rubber shavings or broken plastic pieces, this will be a sign that the drive coupler has failed. If the motor is seized up I recommend checking the pump. If something is lodged in the pump the motor will just hum. Other possibilities; motor, timer, transmission or harness problems. So tilt the washer to the back and look closely to the motor, the coupling from motor to trans may be broken. The motor drives the agitator, using a belt or a drive shaft. It is possible that the drive belt is broken too.

Frigidaire FWT647GHSO when it gets to rinse first rinse cycle, it doesn't stop filling with water. It won't agitate or spin. It works well in the wash cycle, agitates and spins and advances

probably you've got something blocking the water pump from doing its job properly so check that the water pump is free running emptying all the water if not then there is a blockage in the pump normally ist a button, paper clip or other debris out of a trouser pocket eric

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

We put a heavy blanket in the washer and the load stopped suddenly with a washer full of water. It wouldn't spin or empty and made a weak sound but nothing worked. We had to manually empty the water....

Usually that means the drive belt is loose and slipping. You should be able to tighten or replace the belt.
To test the belt you have to remove the washer back.

Hi

If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-

If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.

Will not fill with water but works on spin cycle

If your washer won't fill with water, but works in the spin cycle then the washer is sensing that water is in the tub. If there isn't water in the tub, then it is probably a sensor. If there is water but the spin cycle doesn't get it out, then look at the pump or control board.
