After shaving you turn it off and it continues to run for a short period of time

I found that the hole that the blade slots into had become worn and the blade was wobbling about too much under the foil. To solve it I wrap a small piece of masking tape around the metal shaft that slots into the hole and then push the blade back firmly into the slot. This seems to result in the blade pushing more firmly against the underside of the foil and giving a shave like new again.
SOURCE: resetting the how many shaves counter
Hi,unfortunately there is no way to reset this counter, even after replacing battery it still stands there.Braun somehow prohibits user and/or unauthorized repair men to do such action. If you visit the following link there is a official statement by Braun states that" total number of shaves (cannot be reset)."
I am sorry, this is the fact.

You can buy the motor drive unit here: http://www.electricshaverstore.com/get_item_7030621_braun-motor-drive-assembly-pulsonic-5671-790cc-959.htm but it needs to be calibrated to the circuit board according to everything I have read. Unfortunately, I do not know the procedure for the calibration.

It's actually easier than it looks. On the bottom of the shaver is the charging port. That black plastic piece surrounding it can be pried off. Do it carefully, so you don't dent/scratch the casing. Once removed, the side pieces easily remove. You'll now see screws holding the body together. Have at it. :-)
