P5N-SLI

HI stukove2000,
What is the 5200 stand for?
Here is Asus approved CPU list link for the P5N-E SLI MB:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5N-E%20SLI

The Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 5-5-5-15, should work just fine on the Asus MB.
Here is an expanded approved Qualified Venders List from Asus.
http://www.asus.com/999/download/products/1474/1474_10.pdf
You can also see a smaller QVL list in the manual on page 1-18 & 1-19.
The QVL insures total compatibility with the motherboard.

The NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT will run just fine on the Asus MB. Just make sure your power supply is no less than 500W. A 600W or 650W is preferred.

Here is a write up of the Asus mother board: http://www.techspot.com/review/43-asus-p5n-e-sli/
Asus FAQ's of the P5N-E SLI. Good place to check questions about the board.

No display with ASUS M2N-E Motherboard

Repeat the procedures you learned , the exact same procedures apply to all situations

With certan motherboards you may still not see any video output
Which may mean an incompatability with the motherboard or defect

My advice is to plug in a CRT to the primary video port as a first step to getting video

Primary video port can also be the onboard video

Once you've got video you can begin the process of shutting down the onboard video and inserting
your new video card , with some motherboards if the person adds a new agp video card the system will automaticaly shut down the onboard video and use the new agp video card

BEFORE adding a new AGP video card
Don't forget to install ALL of your Microsoft Windows Critical Updates and Service Packs
because they will contain information and files that some computers require in order to function
properly with Nvidia Graphics Cards

That is especialy true of the FIC nforce2 motherboard.

You're in the zone.

No display with ASUS M2NE Motherboard

For getting display, you must have four components,
1. CPU (alongwith cooling fan)
2. Motherboard
3. RAM & of course
4. Power Supply (SMPS)
They must be connected properly and after attaching power supply unit you must ensure that a 24pin connector as well as a separate 4pin connector are connected to the Motherboard.
If the display doesn't come, the trouble may be with any of the four devices connected together. for advanced trouble shooting, please elaborate exactly when and how the problem has been generated. If the problem arised at the stage of initial assembly of the components, please check the components individually, if possible, replacing with another prouct of the same type.
If the problem arised on a running machine, please remove the RAMs from the slot, wipe the connectors of the RAM with a softe clean cloth and re-attach. If possible, you may wish to clean the RAM-slots on the board with a vacuum cleaner. In most cases, cleaning the RAMs do the needful.
Please try & reply.

SLI Video Cards

Enter you're bios & open you're manual to page 4-32. Set you're
configuration to dual video card. Use the AL software to tweak you're settings in windows. If you find this not helpful than please call Asus tech at: 1-812-282-2787, M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM EST. Unlike other companies you will not be on the phone very long. Please have the S/N of the board handy. This is located on the board, on the LTP port (White sitcker).

Good Luck!
