Code "rL" means???

Technician here this morning. Replaced mounts I think then said I needed to buy "fresh wash" because I had been using cold water wash mostly. Following his instructions, I put in the pellet, selected "clean washer" cycle and pushed start. It indicated a 54 min cycle. That was over 2 hours ago. It is currently locked, red light on, wash cycle lit up, but code "rL" showing. Now what???

Code rL or F34 --> Load detected in machine at the beginning of the clean cycle. Push stop, remove clothes from washer & try again. Mine did this to me, even though there was nothing in the washer. I just tried it a second time & all is good again.

Hotpoint Washing Machine Error Codes or Fault Codes

If you are having a problem with your Hotpoint washing machine it is helpful to know what the error code means. Some of the problem are very simple to fix and do not require a service call to remedy the problem. Here is a list of error codes and the meanings for Hotpoint washing machines
If your error code has an E in front of the number and not an F as shown here, the meaning of the code is still the same

# F10 - This means there is no cold water coming into your washing machine You should check and make sure that the valves are on and that the hoses are not kinked.

# F11 - This means there is no hot water coming into the washer. Again make sure that the valves are on and that the hoses are not kinked anywhere. Also hot water will freeze before the cold water does, if it is very cold where you washer is, check for frozen pipes.

# F12 – This code means that the water is not filling when calling for mixed temperature water. Again, check the hoses and valves.

# F13 – If you have water supply problems this code could also display. Check all hoses and valves.

# F14 - A If this code comes up you have a problem with the washer water heating system. It is usually best to get a professional to repair this problem.

# F15 – The water is not being drained from the washing machine properly. Check the discharge hose to make sure that it is not blocked and that it rises to the minimum height requirement for your washer.

# F16 – The water level is or has been too high in the washing machine. The water inlet valve is probably not closing properly. Turn off the water at the hot and cold water valves and replace the water inlet valve.

# F17 - Door is not closing properly. Firmly push the door closed, and the washing machine should work. If you cannot get the machine to run by slamming the door, then you will need to have the door switch repaired or replace it your self.

# F20/1 – This means that you have a problem with the thermistor that senses the water temperature in your washing machine. It will need to be replaced. This error also could occur if the temperature where the washing machine is, is below freezing.

# F30/31 – This means that there is a problem with the washing machine motor. Check that you do not have too much in the washing machine. There also could be a communication problem to the motor. Unplug the washing machine to reset it and then try to run a cycle again.

# F40 - Water is below the minimum level for the heater to be working. You need to find out why there is not enough water entering the washing machine.

# F41 – There is a problem with the water level detection system.

# F50/51 – This means that the washing machine has lost its programming. The washer will run in a default mode till you can get it reprogrammed.

Why is my kenmore elite he3 coming up on screen f05

The "F05" error code is indicating a Water Temperature Sensor Error. Does it take long time for the water to get hot when you initially start it? If the water is cold entering the tub when hot water or warm water is selected it possibly could cause the error. It only makes sense because after you cancel the cycle and restart the washer it does OK because the cold water has been purged.

There is a thermistor located on the heating element mounting bracket which is used to monitor the water temperature. The heating element w/thermistor will be located on the lower back portion of the tub. You might find a loose wire connection on the thermistor. You will need to remove the rear panel to access the heater and thermistor. You will need an ohm meter to measure the resistance of the thermistor. See images below for specifications.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before removing the rear panel.

If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the "F/05" error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes:

Check the Water Temperature Sensor

Check connections to the Water Temperature Sensor

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

Whenever a problem accur there is a fault code displayed on the machine, there is a technician sheet with the fault codes on the machine, the technician can use this guide to go directly to the problem,
This f02 code mean there is a problem with the drain, there is a drain filter that sometimes get clogged with lint and other things,
Removing the kick plate and removing the drain access on the pump will reveal the drain filter, use a small bucket, and towels to catch the water that will be in the pump

Kenmore he2 plus front loader washing machine comes up with an error code or rL

The rL error code during the clean cycle is likely caused by friction on the spin basket shaft since you indicate that you hear squeaking when the washer is spinning. The squeaking is normally caused by a bad bearing in the rear tub shell. I recommend that you have the washer diagnosed and repaired by a Sears service technician. This type of problem will normally require an extensive tear down of the washer to repair. It is not a problem that you can normally repair yourself.

Open the door & slowly rotate the spin basket to see if you can feel any kind of drag on the bearings. If the bearings check good, the control board is sensing a load & will need to be replaced.

Hoover HW160m - double inlet but only 1 tap at new build.

Hello,

You can use the cold water only with no issues at all. The only thing you will have to do is buy a cap to block off the hot water inlet on the back of the machine otherwise the cold water will flow out through it onto your floor etc.

And yes, your machine has an element built in which will heat the water for you!

Regards,
Adrian.

Roper washing machine not going through rinse cycle.

Good Morning,
Sounds like your cold water valve is not opening. If you are handy with a Multimeter check the selector switch that you use to set your cold water for good continuity when you activate it. You should have a good steady reading on the meter. If the meter is fluctuating or has no reading at all the switch is bad. If the switch checks out good, check to see if there is voltage to the cold water valve terminals when the machine is calling for cold water. If there is no voltage, you will have to locate the relay or source that supplies this voltage and replace it. If there is voltage the valve is faulty and needs to be replaced.
I hope I helped you today.
