SOURCE: I have a knipco portable

Check the air line and the fuel line. Look for cracks in the lines. Also check where the air line connects to the fan motor and fuel nozzle and the where the fuel line connects to the filter and the fuel nozzle. You need it to fit tight. If it is stretched out trim some from the ends and put them back on. This will help them fit tighter. Also check the fuel filter. If this doesn't help let me know and if it does don't forget to rate the answer.

Once the heater reaches the set temperature at the thermostat it shuts off.the flame goes out but the pilot light stays on. the heater will not kick back on automaticaly when it gets cold however it will...

you will have to look into why the unit is tripping and needs resetting. Heaters usually have a fan delay, meaning that when the heat is satisfied, the fan continues to run for about an minute. If not, it could cause an overheating issue and trip a safety. Look for that to start with.

When I push my red button in it shut off the fuel and wont stay going

this is caused by a bad thermo coupling. just to make sure that it is in fact bad - hold down the button for about 20 seconds while the heater is going and if after that amount of time the unit still shuts down when you release the fuel button - then replace the thermo coupling.

I have a kenmore upright frost free freezer mod #253.26432100. A couple of months ago everything defrosted and the unit was not running at all. I unplugged it cleaned it and plugged it back in, it turned...

You have a problem with the ADC.

Frigidaire has also jumped into the market with an adaptive defrost board. The fresh food section light switch and light bulb must work. To initiate a defrost cycle, open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds. The compressor and fans should shut off and the defrost heater should come on. Open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds to remove the refrigerator from the defrost mode and back into a cooling mode.

This product comes equipped with an Adaptive Defrost Control (ADC). To activate manual defrost, press and hold the Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. A "d" in the freezer temperature window and "F" in the refrigerator temperature window will display when the heater is activated. To deactivate manual defrost, press and hold Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. "d" and "F" will be displayed until the defrost cycle is complete. (approx. 8 minutes)

I have a KW 7.5 Ultimate-it will run for 15 minutes and then shut off-and will not restart until the room cools down and the reset button is pushed-the room doesnt even get warm

check the thermal censor in unit (faulty) or thermostat (faulty)
also check the air flow around unit this must be free to breath in fresh air or the unit will over heat and shut its self down

How do you reset the whirlpool gu2400 xtp83 dishwasher. the clean light is flashing. The unit will not start

Can be caused by detection of a heater circuit problem. You can reset by running the diagnostic cycle. To turn of the diagnostic cycle, press: HEATED DRY button, then NORMAL button, HEATED DRY button again, then NORMAL button. The cycle runsfor ~22 mins. When it completes, the blinking light should go out. You can then try running the dishwasher again. If the problem comes back, the heater element or Thermister may need to be replaced

Garmin 178C Boots up then shuts off

I've had a similar situation with a Magellan, it would power off despite being plugged in.

Its usually a battery issue, perhaps its not getting enough power? You could try to unplug it and do a "hard battery reset" depending on the type of battery. Keep turning it on and let it run out, until it wont even turn on anymore, after that plug it into a charger while off and allow it to charge completely. Turn it on, see if it still shuts off.

Good luck!

I have an R50 Reddy heater. It will start and run and heat for about 4 mins, then it shuts down. Then I push the reset button and it will run approx. 5 soconds then shut down. What do I do and will it be...

If the heater runs good & smells good while its running, but shuts down for no apparent reason, then most likely, you have either a bad Safety Control HA3003 (reset) or a bad photocell HA3019.

But, don't rule out simple problems like:
(any of the following can cause a flameout condition, in which case the photocell will shut the unit down. This is where trouble shooting comes into effect).
  1. loss of ground at the Ignition Control (transformer)- not screwed down good
  2. restricted fuel fulter
  3. restricted or worn nozzle
  4. air pump pressure not set to specs
