The welder welds and the relay clicks when i pull the trigger but the wire wont feed. I have tried replacing the small relay on the circuit board but it still wont feed wire.
Too much tension on the wire is as bad as not enough tension....If the feeder wheels are turning back off the tension and add just enough tension to make it feed the wire and check for birdnesting(the wire balls up inside the welder), if this happens cut the wire, pull out the bad wire and re-feed the wire again.
A schematic would certainly help, give Hobart a call and ask for a wiring diagram. or manual. Hobart are very helpful and may even give you guidance, you may have to pay the postage, they usually fax these documents so it will not cost you anything.

I did that and the rollers do not turn. there is no voltage to the motor but the relay has 24 volts on its coil side when the trigger is pulled and the normally open contact short out when the trigger is pulled as well. The motor does show resistance so I think it is good. I tried replacing the darlington power transistor tonight but it still displays the same symptoms. I checked the varistor and it measures fine so i shorted it out and tried it but still no voltage. It would sure help if i had a schematic. I may have to draw one up but some of the traces are pretty hard to see. Any further help would be appreciated.
I have all the original manuals that came with it but it does not include a schematic for the circuit board so i drew one tonight and will take some voltage measurements tomorrow and fix it for good.
Remove the tension from the rollers, do the rollers turn when you pull the triger ? lets know..........
