next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all. First check your num lock led if it on and off when you press num lock key then your cpu is ok. Then therer is issue with monitor to cpu loose connection or Screen resolution problem. For that when you power up press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.then go to control panel and dispaly then settings then change screeen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok. Aslo reconnect connection from monitor to cpu vga port. Also check in bios some times your harddisk is not detected proeprly.
