LG WM2487H*M Drum light stays lit after each load is completed

The drum light on my LG WM2487H front load washer stays lit after each load is completed. I am unable to restart the machine and must unplug the washer to "reset" the device. Even when I unplug the machine, the drum light stays lit for an additional 15-30 seconds. This problem just started despite my efforts to maintenance the machine.

Thanks

I have the EXACT same problem with my LG WM2487HA washer. It's almost impossible for my wife to get to the plug/outlet as well.

I have the same problem and unplugging does seem to work, but a pain to do. It does not happen each time, but is happening more often.

I have the same problem. Does not happen everytime, but often. Unplugging does work for me. Did you find a fix?

Solution. Unplug the machine. Hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug back in. Push the power button and the washer should turn on. Walk away leaving the machine on. When I did this, I came back to find the drum light off and machine would start on command now. Good luck.

I checked with a certified technician on this problem. Unfortunately the repair cost me $200. The main circuit board needed to be replaced, and the unit works as advertised now. It's actually easy to access the circuit board in the left rear of the washer, but it was a challenge to remove the 16 connections! If you aren't intimidated by this kind of repair, take your time and all will go well.

My LG Front Load washer starts to wash, then when it tries to drain, it stops and shows error code OE. I checked back drain hose and they are not kinked. I removed front filter in bottome left and water...

Hi dear.OE code meaning on Lg washer's"machine unable to drain in 10minutes". You can make a little test. Please remove the filter & pour some water in side drum ,watch for water coming out of filter. If it's slow, tub to pump hose clogged.(there must be some sort of fluff or coin clogging hose)if it's not slow, waters comes out freely, run machine on drain cycle & check the pump motor is it running smoothly? If not change the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.

Foul smell inn LG Washer

you need to remove the inner wash drum and clean out the outer drum of ALL the soap and softener in the outer drum so it can drain properly, as it has started growing mold/mildew in the outer drum, also while it is out clean the door seal boot and make sure the drain boot hole is clear too that drains to the outer drum so it can all go down the drain, then put it back together and hot wash an empty tub in hot water and bleach

I'm getting an OE error on my LG washer diplay

You are likely using the wrong kind of detergent and the suds are not being washed away.

Use high-efficiency detergent and/or lessen the amount of detergent you are using.

Moved washing machine and now it won't run

Sounds like a connection may have come loose in the move.

The top cover comes off fairly easily with the removal of some screws in the back. Once screws are removed, slide top cover toward back of washer and take a peek inside looking for loose/disconnected wires.

Holes in Shirts from LG Front Load Washer

This may sound weird but try using a slower spin speed.  The reason is because the faster the spin speed is, the more the clothes can get sucked through the holes in the drum.  On the other side of the drum that you don't see could be some metal points that can snag the material.  When you pull the clothes out, you will pull the thread that comes entangled with those metal points.
