I need to know if a new Asko Dryer will stack with my old washer
I have an Asko 7304 dryer stacked with an older Asko washer. It's dying so I want to replace it with an Asko T712. Will I have problems making this swap, will new Asko dryers stack well with older washers?
Re: I need to know if a new Asko Dryer will stack with...
The exterior size hasn't changed and the plug to run the washer is the same so I don't see a problem. A good retailer can check this for you , but I haven't seen any difference in the stacking kits.

You can stack just about any dryer on any washer, so long that the controls of the washer are on the the top of the washer has no penetrations and no control. In general, dryers are independent from the washer and are light weight.
So the conclusion: so long that the dryer does not interfere with operating the washer - YOU ARE A OK :-)
As we could see new one are not compatible with older one as size and dimension of new washer are changed but in case you could try .It is simple just try compatibility of your older washer stack kit with new one in most new model
I would bet the manufacturer has an adapter for just this kind of problem. I did an installation on a stacked unit with a similar situation and there was an offset angle piece that attached the base of the dryer to the top of the washer. The front had a molded plastic piece to allow the dryer to rest on the front of the washer.
Hope this helps
check inside your washer for nails or other objects . I already seen a nail fall down in one of the basket holes and the nail stuck into the outer tub not allowing the basket to spin. If you dont see anything in the basket holes, then it is your bearings. The burning smell is coming from your belt. The motor is spinning but your basket is not. It is cheaper to buy a new washer. In ordered to fix your washer you have to rebuild it. The bearing are built into the outer tub of the washer.
first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit
measure your dryer carefully and check with the dealer where you wish to purchase a machine, regarding
the stacking kit. It may work. They are general standard sized. Don't ry to gerry rig anything or you may have big problems. In your case I recommend using a well known SMALL appliance store that does theri own installations, so they will bring what they may need, but if yours works, they can still use it.Good Luck
