I ordered this Monitor LCD, and had this monitor for about 8 months now, But as 3 month ago, It starts giving problem with booting up the Monitor the green led light on the Monitor will keep blinking on & off and it will appears black screen. I checked with the Case, Everything were running, and powers on. But nothing appears on the monitor, for a long time, I had to restart and then unplug the cable serveral times until I see the Desktop showed up on the Monitor. (It takes about 10 tries or so.)
This does same thing to PC games I recently bought a overlord and sam max season 1 pc game and try to load the game, It was loading the full screen, but then the monitor itself shut itself down because the fgreen light led were keep on blinking on and off* Stays on Black Screen.
As I went to store, and try to buy a different cable plug, and check with the case & Outlet & Power plug, But this didn't solve the problem,
Does the same thing, I plugged back into its original cable plug back in adn finally saw desktop showed up on monitor.
All of sudden 3 days ago, I woke up next morning, and noticed that Color of Red and Green were gone. It showed only UGLY horrible looking color Blue and Yellow. NO Red or Green. As I try to figure out I thought it was power supply or the videocard but it doesn't seem to be the case since I test it with a new Cable plug as I said before, and I decided to test my case with My Dad's Dell Monitor CRT and It was working fine, and displays the normal color. So I tried to plug ViewSonic monitor LCD on the Dad's Dell Case It gives the excatly same problem that it gave me for my Case. It dsiplays ugly color on that so I figured out that it was THE monitor itself, But heres the problem is,
I don't know how to fix this kind of problem, and what am I supposed to do to fix the ViewSonic LCD Monitor and get it stop blinking green lled power and displays the normal color? I hope you guys have answer for this. Thanks
Check the information at Viewsonic's website regarding their warranty:
http://www.viewsonic.com/support/warranties/limited-warranty/
If you have your proof-of-purchase and it shows the monitor is less than a year old, it would be covered. You would need to follow the procedure on their website to have the unit repaired or replaced, but it would not be your job to try to fix it.

I found out this Monitor isn't covered by warrenty, And I did the live-chat with the tech, although it seem a waste to "buy a part needed to replace whatever is not working inside the montior." I am not expert, And I don't want to open up the monitor and make it worse. And Funny, I noticed a lot people are having similar problem as I have for THIS VERY Model, JUST WOW!!!! JUST WOW!!!!!!!!
Just what is wrong with this model it sound like X360 RROD issue or whatever LOL!!!!!!! So anyway With that, I decided to get a new LCD Monitor- different brand- So the Monitor (With Power blinking thingy and Display wrong color is still unsolved***) (Its same issue for all this model I guess.)
