Maytag Neptune MDE9700AYW dryer appears to have no power. Did this yesterday, too. Checked circuit breaker. My husband unplugged the dryer then plugged it back in and it worked. Did the same thing again today. I tried all the steps we did yesterday, but it's not working. Any ideas???
Hi there, you are experiencing a power supply board failure. this board may have used all its life up and unfortunately, it will have to be rebuilt or replaced.
I got this dryer from an aunt, who used it for awhile until she got a brand new one. It worked perfect until just now.I got this dryer from an aunt, who used it for awhile until she got a brand new one. It worked perfect until just now.

First thing you need to do is check the Circuit Breaker for the dryer. If it is tripped unplug the dryer and reset the Circuit Breaker. Now plug in the dryer and try to run it. If it does not work again check the Circuit Breaker again if it is tripped again unplug dryer and call someone that can help you or fix it. If the Circuit Breaker is not tripped check for good power readings on both power lines coming into the dryer. Should have 110V or more on each line to neutral, and 220V or more between each line. If you do not have the correct voltage at each line check Circuit Breaker for good power coming out.
You can remove the lint filter to retrieve the RING, please do not put the machine to any wash until the filter and drain pump is removed and checked. check this link.; Cleaning lint filter
Check to see if your thermistor is bad by measure the resistance. It should be 10K Ohms at room temperature. If it's bad, replace it BUT you have to CLEAR to error code. 1. Enter to Service Mode by press CHIME and TEMPERATURE keys for 3 seconds or until 3 beeps are heard. 2. Access Diagnostic Codes by pressing WRINKLE PREVENT. A d will be displayed. Rotate the CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB in either direction to read it. 3. Press SENSOR DRY and TIME keys for 3 seconds to clear it. 4. Power OFF to exit Service Mode 5. Power ON
Are you getting power at the console? Also, check to see if one of the breakers has not tripped. Dryer runs on 220v and you may have tripped one breaker that will show power to the unit but won't let it start.
Maytag Dryer and FE code means power source "Frequency Error". Invalid power... you will need a electrican to come out the power is not wired up right.
I would replace the wall receptacle before buying any dryer parts Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).
My dyrer just stopped working one day. I've had the heating element checked, both boards and my electrical outlet checked but my dryer still doesn't work. All I get is a troubleshooting code that looks like an upside down F with a 5 behind it. If you have a solution to this problem please let me know Thank You.
