Whirlpool Duet front-load washer F02 usually means it is taking over 8
minutes for the washer to sense that the rinse or wash water has
drained, which either means that the drain/filter is clogged or the
pressure switch/tube is clogged (causing both the washer to over-fill
with water and not sensing that water has drained).
To clear out
the drain/filter, tilt the washer backwards a little for easier to the
kick-plate and support the front bottom with a wood block or similar,
remove the front kick-plate's (3) retaining screws and swing the
kick-plate up out of the way. The filter drain is behind the white knob
in the center, be prepared with something to catch any remaining water
and lots of towels to soak up any spills, and turn the knob
counter-clockwise to remove the filter.
The drain is clogged. remove the bottom kick panel. should be 3 or 4 1/4" nuts. open drain pump slowly. you may want to have a container to catch the water and some towels. check drain pump for foreign objects. also check the drain hose. make sure its not kinked or clogged. also check electrical connection to the pump.
if all the above have been checked and the unit still doesn't drain, then you may need to replace the drain pump
check and make sure you do not have a siphoning problem. make sure the drain isn't backing up in the machine. This could also be a problem with the water inlet valve. Its possible that its not closing all the way when the machine is off. If its dirty water entering washer then the problem is siphoning from the drain. If its clean watet the valve is bad.
THE COLD AND HOT WATER CANT GO BACK IN TO THE WATER VALVE ! NOW IF THE DRAIN WATER COMES BACK IN AFTER DRAIN MODE LEFT DRAIN HOSE UP A FOOT TALLER THIN THE WASHER OR CLEAN YOUR PUMP THIRS A CAP ON THE PUMP YOU CAN REMOVE TO CLEAN . NOW IF THE WASHE IS FILLING UP WITH WATER WHEN ITS OFF THE WATER VALVE IS BAD
check your drain hose and drain pipe,if not that then i think your inlet water valve is not closing all the way,try it on cold only see what happens, then try on hot only see what happens, let me knoe what you find-mike
my duet does the same thing...
