Tape ejects when inserting into video player

Panasonic video player eject problem- when on inserting a video tape into player,it is automaticly ejected before tape threading can take place,i have read that this could be due to the cassette lamp or limit switch,is there any way to test this,or any solution for this particular problem?

Check the tab on the back side of the tape- make sure its intact- if tab is missing it will not let you record - i've sometimes added tape to replace the tab ,,

DVD DOOR AND VCR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN, DOES NOT EJECT TAPES OR DISK

I have had some luck in unplugging the machine for five or ten and then trying again. I have spent five to ten minutes trying to get the darn thing to spit out the disk and it refuses. Unplugging either gives me time to cool off or it helps the machine :)

Tape eject from drive

Hi. This is from Dells site regarding automatic ejection of tape once inserted:

The PowerVault 110T DLT VS160 Tape drive reads and writes DLTtape VS1 cartridges. The PowerVault 110T DLT VS160 Tape drive can read - but not write - DLTtape™ IV cartridges written using the DLT1/VS80 format. NOTE: The PowerVault 110T DLT VS160 Tape drive automatically ejects any other cartridge types and any cartridges whose format it cannot read. Make sure all cartridges that you want to use for writing are DLTtape VS1 cartridges.

Perhaps your cartridge is improperly formatted or is of the incorrect type?

Newly Inserted Tape Ejects Automatically

Usually the drive mechanism is made up of rubber rollers, belt, etc. If these are worn out (in time), the drive mechanism will slide and will not be able to rotate the tape. If the cam cannot detect the movement ?n the tape then it will efect it.

Tape keeps ejecting - panasonic nvfj620

Is it only the Head cleaning cassette which keeps getting ejected, or is it happening with every tape you insert? Was the Head Cleaning Tape a little tight in the Cassette compartment? Did you have to put some pressure to push it in or did it come out with difficulty? From your symptoms, it looks like there is a gear timing problem with the cassette loading compartment gears. It could also be due to some obstruction inside. try shaking the VCR, and if you are hearing some noise, Open cover and check for foreign objects.
