If you look at the meter, the charge meter of 100% is slightly above the 2 amp mark so it is confusing. because it says the charge represents the amont charged and the amp meter shows when there is no draw on the charger. so if the battery shows 2.5 amp on the amp meter, it's showing 100% charged. but yet they say it should go to zero on the amp meter, which would mean about 150% charged. i think everyone is scared of blowing up or damaging their batteries because the instructions manual is quite contradictory and confusing. well apparantly, they have several versions of this model to make it more confusing, but here's a pic of what i have.

HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO READ THE METER ON SE-82-6...RED AND GREEN TRIANGLES...DON'T KNOW WHICH DIRECTION THE NMEEDLE'S SUPPOSED TO BE GOING.

The meter is telling you approximately how much current (amps) it is sending to the battery. When the meter moves all of the way to the right it is charging as hard as it can (that would be 6 Amps) which indicates that the battery needs a lot of charging. As the battery becomes saturated with charge, the meter will move toward the left. As the battery become charged, the unit automatically tapers off the current. The meter can indicate as little as little as zero Amps, meaning it is not charging the battery at all - which is the case when the battery is powered up, but isn't even connected to the battery. If it reads zero when it's connected to the battery, the battery is broken and can't be charged.
Since this charger is rated at 6 amps, it will indicate about 3 amps when the battery is about done. It won't normally go to zero because those 3 amps are getting wasted just heating up the battery.
