Hello Scott, that's a great question!
In order to remove the front frame of your Frigidaire air conditioner you should be able to pull from the front tabs to remove the front panel. I have included your manual and installation instructions and I hope that this information is helpful for you. -Matt Frigidaire Manual Search Results
Actually a bit of water is always left in the machine , its made that way for a purpose. not sure how to explain it but has to do with balance and load stablization. Unless u have another issue and much more water is left in due to insufficient draining, then u have to look at ur water pump and sump filter. see attached pics
Not sure about the frigidaire, but most front panels can be removed from front. If you look around outer edge of trim piece there might be little screwdriver slot. Carefully pry off trim piece(faceplate),disconnect electrical plug on back, set aside.Once removed you should see you solution for removing paddle.
Remove the top with 2 screws on the back , pull out dispenser drawer, take out the 3 screws from there and the 2 screws on the top of Ctr panel, take off the Ctr panel and flip it back with the wiring still attached then open the door and remove the spring around the seal, pull seal off the front panel, take out the 2 screws for the lock, remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the front panel and then remove screws on the top and the lift up and pull but not to fast the lock is going to still be attached to front panel take pliers and squeeze the wire clip.
probably has something stuck in the electric drain pump happens alot on frigidaire washers it is accessable after removing front lower acess panel tilt washer back after pulling it from the wall the drain pump will be just right of center at the front use a pan to catch any water that will come out you can either remove the 2 drain hoses to clear obstruction or you can unscrew pump motor from pump body
Lid lock may be damaged. Unplug, remove the front by the bottom 2 screws. Look at lid lock to see if it has overheated or damaged. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
Remove two screwn on bottem of front lower panel. Clamp hose clamp on large hose leading to front of pump assymbly, twist back and fourth the hose while pulling back to remove hose ( some water may flow if pump is not working right) Once the hose is removed you can see into the pump turbine and move it circular with a small screwdriver to see if it spins freely. I had this same problem and found a bobbie pin stuck partially into the pump. I removed the pin and everything works like new.
Remove the front panel to get to it. Once you get the front panel off it is easy to remove the drum and replace the element. First remove the top then the front then you have it.
