I noticed that my washer just stopped I assume after the wash cycle. The clothes were still soaking wet, there were no lights lit on the machine I know it did not go through the whole cycle this time. I have previously found my clothes to be soaking wet on occasion when going to unload the machine, just ran the spin/drain cycle and they were rinsed. I had been noticing that the fabric softener was still in it's slot and was not used. I did not realize that the machine was probably stopping prior to getting to the rinse cycle like today. There are no error codes showing up, just all lights are out. I put it on rinse/drain to see what would happen. Thanks, Jackie
Hi Jackie, more than likely you have a timer control failure. It's an easy fix if you have money and can afford a repair man to fix the problem. It's a lot better plan if you have friends with a few skills. Just need to enter model number of your washer on ebay and ask for a replacement timer. It is behind the cycle control knob on your washer. Invite a couple friends over for a cookout and repair your washer. Don't have any friends? If close enough will be glad to help. Simple fix, have fun, good experience. Stan

Please empty your machine and run the machine empty. If the washer goes through the whole cycle without any clothes. Please let me know
SOURCE: Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle
When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Have you ever cleaned it out? Its likely due to a plugged drain, not allowing the system to drain fast enough for the normal cycle. Check out my solution on

SOURCE: Washing Machine is not draining in rinse cycle to go to spin cycl
you both seem to have bad lid switches. A bad lid switch will prevent draining and spinning.
SOURCE: Washing machine will not complete spin cycle
OK, what you are experiencing is a timer mechanism fault. the timer motor is malfunctioning. anytime you have to manually advance the timer knob, this will signal a fault within the control mech. this is easily fixed by, replacing the timer control module. i will place a link to the actual part needed to fix this issue. you can also purchase this timer on line at this site if you wish.
