no no alarm is only the starter i install 5 of those whit my friends i got confused the first time too
but noo anti-theft is a module included whit the starter something you need for new models

it could be that the theft system has something to do with it .it proably that the ignition system has a device in the module the locks the system up when the theft system has been activated you should have the dealer check the ignition system or the theft system check.
